of course it’s great for the competition. Have you seen how much content Corne and King have? it fills up otherwise flat air.

Without a number 1 pick we’re very vanilla.

They've shown some improvement this year. They got a couple of decent mature players and seemed to have finally nailed a draft.

Draft picks won't help the club now. They will only help the club in 3 or 4 years time when you already should be showing improvement.

The idea should be to make you better now. The club has improved which will help retain players and develop the ones coming through.

Not that precedence matters with the AFL at all but when Brisbane received a priority pick in 2016 (pick 19), they then finished last in 2017 but their application for another pick was rejected.

It's alright, i'd be pretty upset if i've had a 6 week stretch in a season that has seen the supporter base bounce from puffing out your chest, to bullying teenagers, to defending sex pests, and then coming in begging for priority picks. St Kilda has pulled themselves up, why can't you? If you don't like the tone of people on here maybe go and have a look at the JHF thread or the death ride thread on your own board. St Kilda and WB are basically identical clubs to you and have played finals recently. You're where you are due to arrogance and stupidity. Pay your dues. The absolute irony and entitlement of north supporters mocking JHF for being soft and being a mummy's boy whilst whining 6 weeks into a new coach's tenure that he hasn't waved a magic wand and fixed every problem and whining for handouts. These pricks are a decent chance of finishing last and then getting a first round compo pick if McKay leaves, they could have picks 1 and 2. Harley Reid and the best KPP in a draft supposedly littered with quality KPP. Absolutely no need for a PP. None. No chance.

If we get extra picks, as I suggested last year, picks 19 and 20 for two years in a row makes more sense to me rather than number 1.

Adelaide did offer several picks for the number 1 which meant Horne-Francis would have gone to Adelaide and North would have been in a better place.

What does a person's club have to do with their ability to judge football?

I’m not too sure some stuff on here is about “judging football” - it’s being judgemental and all high and mighty about another club being down the bottom when those teams in this thread haven’t really had much going on for them for quite sometime either. It’s just weird. Like maybe some perspective is key.

Anyway, as I was educated on this matter by a very kind moderator yesterday, it is a forum and we’re basically entitled to our opinions. So have yours and I’ll have mine.
