Notice how none of them talked about GC likely getting 3 top 10 picks thanks to their academy, including the 2nd best player in the pool.
and what does that have to do with North? absolutely zero

North's obsession with what GC have got is bizarre, North having an NGA in Tassie is the outlier

Can I ask your thoughts on what your president Mr Gowers said on SEN last week when asked about North Melbourne asking for priority assistance? "If we were in the same position, we'd be asking also"

Didn't hear it.

What did he say? What would Gowers ask for if Hawthorn were in the same position as North?

I know your celebrating your pyrrhic victory tonight, but it would be good if you responded to this at some point in time, when your decided to try and get one up on me.

Top 20 picks on list in 2023:

18 GWS
17 Carlton
15 NORTH MELBOURNE
15 Essendon
15 Gold Coast
14 Brisbane
13 Fremantle
13 Melbourne
13 Adelaide
13 Port
12 Sydney
12 Richmond
11 Bulldogs
10 St Kilda
10 Collingwood
10 West Coast
9 Geelong
8 Hawthorn

Yes an arbitrary number.

5 of which won't be on the list next year.

Ziebell, Cunnington & Hall retiring.
McKay leaving in FA.
Bonar delisted.

Honestly we could’ve done with the assistance 2 years ago, now not so much, hopefully we’ll be on the uptick, at least we’ve got light at the end of the tunnel now.
Yes, that's kind the point. The assistance should've been back then, not after they've had ample opportunities to hit the draft/FA/trade period to improve their list.

Giving them assistance when they're nearly primed to climb the ladder is stupid.

Is every team going to get help in the same situation? Why even bother allocating draft picks? Just do what the AFL wants..

Scotty was the most direct he's ever been on an AFL issue with the North compensation. Threw proper grenades.

Old uncle Ross was doing his best, might have hit up the red fairly heavily before strutting into the fox studio.

Gold Coast is a completely different proposition to North tho not to mention a extremely challenging location to try and sustain a AFL club.

You have over 100 years of history compared to them, Friday night football was featured involving North in the 90's.

The Grand Final breakfast is a North Melbourne tradition, you should be a powerhouse in the AFL or at least a top 4 club.

The comparison is polar opposite.

I can't imagine St Kilda shamelessly begging in the way North have over the last three* years.
This is just straight up horse shit and you know it. Any club that finds itself in the same position as north over the last few years would 100% be hitting the afl up.
