First how did Ellard win a ruck? He is 2 foot 3!
Happy he is back and playing well enough
Will be very disappointed if he is delisted.
Good effort by the Ants
I had a call from a mate in Adelaide
Seems many of the Blues went to the local game to watch T Sporn play
Stevo TBird Scotland amongst them

Welcome to the mad house Tricky.

Cheers, JNB. Great to finally converse with the great Carlton people I've been reading threads from for the past two years. (Yes, I know, I should've joined earlier).

One thing I've learnt already is that Melbourne supporters in Bay 13 are a lil' sensitive with the harsh realities of the rabble they so dearly support.

So funny to read the unoriginal responses about cheating/tanking/Fevola--one giant YAWN :D

Apparently Fev was at the sturt game. He always come to see Benny Nelson play for us as they were apparently close.

Sporn is still shite by the way

make sure u only watch the 2nd quarter and the last quarter... the wind was horrible and no action on the left to screen... loved Andersons work today.. took on players and yes he did get caught a few times but he was up and about showing alot of dash.. his decision making lets him down at times but was very good today... warnock as said by the commentating team was on top of Ottens who came back 1 week earlier than Robbie.. im glad to see our boys doing well in the 2nds and a special mention to Browne... little nutter

So would you have Warnock in the ones next week?

Sporn - promised so much and delivered so little

No not as of yet... he still needs a bit of time maybe 1 more week in the reserves will do him good... wasnt an easy day for the talls... having said that there would be an argument that having him in next week and leaving Kruz up at CHF for a game as a trial vs the demons as a warm up maybe for the finals... interesting to note that Cloke was at the ground with his kit but didnt play...

Oh no! Beta!

Ottens looms large for Cats

Blues onballer Chris Yarran collected 11 disposals in the first half yesterday, then left for the airport to fly to Adelaide as an emergency and could be a late replacement today.
Warnock had 15 disposals, three marks, one goal and 12 hitouts against the Cats.

Stephen Browne (32 disposals), Joe Anderson (26), Adam Bentick (24), Chris Johnson (24) and Shaun Grigg (23) impressed.

Not sure about Jacobs, Warnock has surpassed him quite comfortably after only a couple of games. He was murdered in the ruck today, even the intensity of the VFL was too much for him. He needs to lose some kgs in the off season.

Michelle snapped a decent goal against the wind, that's all he is able to do though. Garlett is already a better goal sneak that he is.

I'm guessing you didnt really watch the game

I disagree, I reckon Sauce played a better game than Warnock. Sauce was better around the ground, and did some nice team things. Warnock held his own in ruck contests, but did nothoing around the ground?

We already have Kreuzer in the team who is superb around the ground (and way more agile) but we currently lack a ruckman who is able to hold his ground in ruck contests. Warnock would be a perfect inclusion next week.

That was a great goal from the right boundary where it meets the 50 m line. It was a pressure kick in which he had to allow for the wind. At the time we were only 1 pt up and it sealed the win. I reckon Hartlett was in our best 6 today. I hope they persist with him as long as he can remain injury free?

sorry he is way to slow. Austin is the one we need to get more games into. The only positive out of waite going down is if forced the MC to pick Austin.

i know he was in the best - but just wondering what others thought of anderson??whilst he did show lots of dash and run, he did get caught, make bad decisions and show some terrible disposal skills
whilst his run is a positive, IMO he really needs to work hard on his disposal (both by hand and foot) skills

i agree. i thought anderson tried, but ultimately delivered little. his disposal and decision making is so poor.

Pfeiffer should stay.

Pfeiff was said to be shining in pre-season training reports, but was injured early on. Pfeiffer bodylined a ball beautifully and tapped it out to himself after going in hard. Pfeiffer isn't a good kick, yet he showed he has the nous and "football pace" to get another year on the rookie list.

If he isn't too old?

Looked OK on the half back flank against Bendigo.

Hill has some upside with his pace and should stay.

Watched him against Geelong and he was like a bloke with no hands ..he couldn't pick the ball up to save himself one nice snapped goal was his total input ..be lucky to survive the cut.
