Some great videos on the FNWB channel on YouTube from 1973 and 1985. Between this and what Sack of Balls uploads weekly there is a good cross section of Doggies games to view. Still waiting for the 2001 comeback v Geelong @ KP and the 1994 2nd Quarter v Adelaide @ FP. I’ll have to dust off the VHS versions!

I still have several VHS tapes but nothing to play them on. Some I recorded and some from Name a Game.

Yes, thank you. Installed Adblock for Firefox and the ads are gone. Such a relief.

Eh ? Ads are the best part of most threads. How else would I know about my urgent need for a motor bike licence preparation course, grammarly, a 1962 Kombi Van or Carlton draft from BWS ?

Norf won their first nine before falling in a hole and winning only three more games thereafter.

Melbourne won their first ten and have since won only three of the best next eight. Their remaining games are all tough - Freo and Brisbane away, and blockbusters against the Pies and Blues.

Imagine if the Dees lost all four to finish with a 13-9 record. Please let it happen.

I was at my local leisure centre on Sunday for a recovery session.

I saw a bloke approaching the spa who I thought was a dead ringer of Doug Hawkins. As he entered the spa, I saw him turn to someone and say, "How about those Bulldogs last night? We're back."

I then realised it bloody was Doug Hawkins.

I had a bit of a chat to him and he offered me a free ticket to this event tomorrow night.



Coincidentally, I had already purchased a couple of tickets to this last month.

Looking forward to it. Should be fun

This was an enjoyable night.

I asked Westy a question I've been wanting to ask him for years:

Is it true at the 2000 Brownlow Medal, the West Coast players seated behind you who had played against Woewodin in the final round told you that he was quiet in the final round and they congratulated you for winning the Brownlow?

His response:

Going into the final round, Woewodin was one vote ahead. The West Coast players mentioned to me, "If you get one vote you tie, if you get two votes you win. Woewodin won't poll in the final round because we kept him to nine possessions." When he polled two votes to win the Brownlow, the West Coast players apologised for getting my hopes up.

I thought there was a chance that story was BS but he confirmed it's true!
