Bulldogs Hall of Fame tonight. Can anyone tell me why Dale Morris and Bob Murphy are being inducted but not Mathew Boyd as well? Their careers are all very similar with Boyd’s probably the better on pure statistics and both Boydy and Dale being the premierships stars with Boydy being All-Australian in the premiership year.

I would be shocked if one of our coaches willingly skipped a game to attend a ceremony. That’s kind of on us for scheduling it this week knowing one of the inductees coaches a side playing tonight

It's only one game, there would've been at least a months prior notice. There would be a development coach somewhere who could step in.

It's a hall of fame ceremony for the club he won a flag at.

Yeah, I know, but you wonder what anyone is thinking posting that. We all disagree on things, get frustrated with players, etc, but a death threat to a young man doing his best on a sports field, with a young family, the impact on him, his partner. That's just f*cked.

I honestly believe the pandemic and resulting lockdowns has had an ongoing effect on people’s mental health. The amount of abuse on social media and the escalation of divisions in society seem more pronounced since then.

I reckon it was already trending that way pre-pandemic tbh, proliferation of social media and "Look.at me/look at my life", but yeah as you say pandemic certainly escalated it.

I actually thought Bruce was unlucky to get dropped after the Port game. I actually thought Bev would play him again next week to help instil some faith/confidence in him.

That second goal was very, very fortunate for Dixon.

Probably that misreading the flight one for the 5th or so goal, where he could have taken the sit and body, but his confidence in that game was shot even more so by that stage.

That game was a real perfect storm for Bruce. Playing in a position where every 50/50 mistake turned into a Dixon goal would have been utter torture for the man.

He has major improvement in that position over this season to come.
