Off Season Bulking

Friend of mine was just listing to me how much each of the Lions players have bulked up over the pre season, and was just wondering if anyone had any figures on our boys? Maybe Heath or someone at the club? ;)
Heard rumours that one of our blokes may have hit the 10-12kg mark but dont know how much of that claim is true.

For those interested these were the lions figures:

Retzlaff & McCulloch up 8kg each.
Redden up 6k & Banfield up 5kg
Collier up 4k,
Sheldon, Austin & Harwood up 2kg,
McGrath 4kg, Mitch Clarke 3kg, Brennan 2kg,
Charman, Merrett Selwood all 1kg.

Congrats see see and Speedy.

If the club are failing to achieve the goals set re weight gains, I expect NoBull to have you blokes on the next tram/train to Arden St!!

Just noticed on the Roos website that they have updated the height and weight stats. O'Keefe has put on 7 kg I think, Hansen listed as up 4kg, Thompson from 85kg to 93kg and 190cm to 193cm. Wright has is up to 82kg from around the mid 70's. Obba's up to 97kg's and Tarrant up 5 to 95kg's.

Sweeeet! :thumbsu:

Not sure what he was last season, but Grima 192 and 96kgs.

Those PP runs are excellent considering the weight hes carrying.

Lachie is now 197 and 97kgs which sounds like a good balance.

Also wasnt Levi closer to 90kgs last year? Hes listed as 84 now which might account for the improved endurance, should help his OP issues too.

Levi was 91kg if I recall. Thats a big drop as is Josh Smith's drop of 6kgs to 99.

Thanks B Tron.

Narnie Grima is at 106 kg's..... must be looking for a half back position at that weight after the hot 3km times....look out any poor buggers around the ball ups..

Apparently from the wings back is now being refrerred to as "The Panzer Division".

Obviously this year were in it to win it but we wont see glory until our mids have the core and the strength to match it with the Saints and Cats in finals. Like you just look at Ablett DalSanto Bartel Hayes Goddard and Corey and Ziebell Cunnington and Anthony are still a few years off. Spud, Wellsy, Swallow and Turtle could match it with them but our boys lighten off after that whereas Cats and Saints dont. 2011 will scare em. Come 2012 watch out.

Sadly they are all unable to keep up that sort of weight training throughout the season proper so you will find most of them will lose 2-3kg's by round 5.

As long as they don't lose 2+3 games by round 5 I'll be happy.
