Thought it would be a good idea to keep track of the open training sessions the boys are having during the pre-season, which we would be able to get along to, take photos and discuss how they are tracking.

I along with many others have finished up at Uni/school for the year, so on the days off work, heading down to training and having a peek, can fill in at least part of the day.

This week is their week off I believe, however is there any chance one of the officials on here updating us on all the open sessions coming up?

Cheers

I'd say there will be one this coming Saturday/Monday or there abouts, with the new draftees

pretty sure curran is injured atm so he won't be training but i assume he would be there. mckenzie flew into melbourne this arvo so he will be training tommorow. hopefully someone from this board goes tommorow and reports back to us.

Pics would be great.

I can't wait for some internal games to start. When's this usually happen?

Poor Wellsy... He tried to participate in a semi-competitive drill but was forced out by staff about a minute into it..

There was an official going around taking pics, so don't be surprised if a few pop up on the website..

This explains who the blokes I had no idea about were. There skill level was also noticeably behind other boys, to be fair they all looked a bit shy and hesitant though.

Matty Campbell really needs to work on his kicking also.

Scotty Mac, Boomer, Swallow, Lindsay (was part of everything, marking, handball receives, kicking to the man is superb, chasing players down, if he kicks straight this year, he will easily be in our top two forwards with Drew), Basti, Cunners, Big H, Grima all looking great. For some reason Ziebs sat out the contested work, most likely to prevent hurting the others...

He'll never be Hulk.

But neither was Schwass.

If he is sitting across Half Back a kick behind the play, he wont need to be too bulky.

Just needs to maintain that agility to get free and use the ball well like we have seen in the highlight package.

No doubt. The one thing in his highlight package I loved though was his ability to jump into, or across the pack and take a strong mark. He will struggle to do that, with his body, in the AFL.

And, his Moustacha was ridiculous Pez. But he got some nice snaps.

Narni not only won the time-trial, but he hit the track first and looked super super keen.

I had a quick chat to him as I crossed the field, and he looks a lot fuller across the shoulders and chest. After I asked about his win, he said he felt great after a week rest and has freshened up well.

I got the feeling looking at him today, that he is hellbent on atoning for a disappointing 2011.

Some of the younger boys looked sharp today.

Harper's shoulders are rounding out, and has put on size. Atley also looks to have added a few kilograms. Ben10 looked well.

Scotty McMahon's boot was sublime today. He hit every target.

Jack Ziebell hit the post roosting one from 55 out. Must have been on purpose.

Boys looked well.
