Who is costing us $600-650, so next to nothing? Let's say it's $650k, making the total amount owed $2.15m over the next 5 seasons.
If the salary cap stays the same, at $13m, that is $65m. 2.15/65 = 0.033, or 3.3%. That isn't too significant, especially because the salary cap won't stay at that level.

I've never heard a player say 'I'm entering the draft if a deal can't be done'. The GDub didn't fall for it because it didn't come from Ollie.
