Each to their own, I'm not here to judge and I hadn't wanted to raise it really but I'm wondering how some at the club might feel about Woulfe's admitted history with drugs and hallucinogens when considering the circumstances around Phil's death and the issues Cy had with hallucinogenic substances and harder drugs.
You could go further and ask how they can align with a program that draws from "The Mankind Project" whilst operating an inclusive environment for our AFLW team.

I can bet that CM won't be running any programs for the women - Erin would kick him in the nuts lol

Burton will be hanging for dear life to his Afc job. He is effectively unemployable in this industry now.

Even more reason we won't fire him. Couldn't let one of the boys go unemployed

Watched Talking Mike with Leppitsch and he commented when he was coaching the Lions they had the highest injury count in the comp.

It’s amusing that Burton blamed Leppitsch for wanting the players trained too hard and we bought the excuse.
Burton is definitely a problem, but Leppitsch was a pig of a coach. He most certainly would have asked for them to be trained harder.

After the bye we should have only Gov, Hunter, Smith and Crouch. So SANFL side that week could have up to 17 AFL listed
I bet we'll do an ultra-hard block of training during the bye and many names will mysteriously be absent when we come back. Or we'll hold back six players as emergencies

Just a thought to throw on top of the injury list - what do you think the chances are that Erin Phillips used a similar program to the boys and this is what caused her soft tissue injuries and ruined her season (and our WAFL chances as well)??
Was this tthe warning we all missed?

Not just Erin but the whole team looked stuffed, we were clearly the unfitist of all the teams we played. At the time I said how poorly they girls presented themselves for the season but if the same idiots took the womens side for fitness work pre season its no wonder.

Was the Riley Knight thing ever explained?

Out managed but named as an emergency many weeks ago. He could play if needed according to Ben Hart that week. Now missing his 5th (or more?) game.

Did we include him on the emergency list to try to hide yet another hamstring injury? Relying on there now being 4 players on the emergency list so it wouldn't matter if someone pulled out late.

From what Fagan told me, initial diagnosis was the old hamstring awareness, could have played, but they were being cautious. 2nd week it was changed to hamstring tendonitis and it's not an injury that has a straight diagnosis or recovery period, it got better, he did main training and it flared up again and back and forth she goes. Said he's had this issue awhile now, but also said you can't rest tendonitis (I have no idea if it's true), so basically the best case scenario is 2 weeks, but they have to play it by ear.

So basically he could play, because it's tendanitis, not a hamstring strain/pull/tear, but they're on a no risk approach now because of all the other issues.

I have had and still occasionally get tendinitis in both elbows. Scans show a large number of what was described as micro tears in the ligaments. Cortisone injections take away the pain and allow you to move freely. No one knows how long the cortisone will last. Could be a day, could be 6 months.

The injections do nothing in improve or heal the injury.

I was told the only way to properly heal the ligaments was with rest. Physiotherapy is also recommended, but again there are no guarantees.

I have no idea if the elbow and knee injuries require the same treatment.

From what I gather from googling (so hardly an informed opinion) there's mixed opinions, though a lot of sources that say rest only helps relieve pain because you're just not doing anything, but doesn't actually do anything to fix the cause of the tendinitis. I imagine that since Fagan said Knight has had issues with this before (and he did mention he's had injections previously, so I guess that would be cortisone like you had), and all our other hamstring injuries, they've decided to maybe try and nip the issue in the bud now, rather than rush him back.

Though one Google bit did say
Tendonitis is considered an overuse injury caused by repetitive loading of a tendon exceeding the ability of the tendon to handle the load.
So I guess we could maybe put that on Burton and his mis-use of the KangaTech stuff again.

1 physiotherapist told me to lay off the beers and ice my elbows after physical activity. The idea being the ice will assist reducing inflammation.

Another told me rest, massage, and targeted heat treatment to improve blood flow into the ligaments. The idea being that the blood will introduce nutrients to assist with recovery.

He has tendonitis which is a bitch of a thing. I've had it in my achilles and it's not an injury you can rest and recover. Tellingly it's an overuse injury which points to Burton and Hass not using KangaTech properly, because that tech is supposed to mitigate overuse. Bloody idiots.

Whilst there are players like Knight who are I injury prone, the good clubs manage these players with special programs to get them on the park.

Not only can't we manage our injury prone players, we have now made most of our squad injury prone, including many players who previously missed few games.

If anyone still believes this is due to bad luck or a shorter pre-season, they are deluding themselves.

Then we demotivate at least 3 players (2 key players) with unqualified shonky pretend sports "psychologist" for good measure.

There just has to be accountability for turning a premiership potential squad into missing the finals.

Did you read Studley Snr? He says our season is owing to the injury list... Groundbreaking stuff, Stud.

The people in charge of the “high performance” regime? Silence.

Can’t lose that club ambassador status.
