Mr Lynch has a lot to answer for...

That Paige twitter chick just tweeted she was taking the piss with the Rockliff thing to see if a particular page would copy her.

I thought all her posts were taking the piss?

I particularly liked the one last week which said Daisy was 100% staying at Collingwood.

I dont know where this came from, Collingwood fans saying it everywhere.

I can assure you he was a pretty passionate Geelong supporter.

fair enough :)

And it wasnt me that started anything about him being a Filth supporter :)

someone should ask her what was the point of making up rumours about Rockcliff, was it to prove that she has absolutely no reliability or that she likes to pull rumours out of her ass?

What a stupid strategy. The way I see it making up bullshit to 'test' people only further damages her credibility.

As a 'journo' you would only make up a bullshit rumour on a throw-away account to get all the better recognised journo's running in the wrong direction while you are gathering all the news bits for a proper scoop...

Doing it to 'test' people is a way to destroy any credibility that you might be building to further your career in journalism.

Can we petition to have a players name added to the swear filter for our board ;)

You would think that Chief would have been all over that... but the swear filter thingy works site wide and that would destroy just about anything that the filth supporters wanted to say about any of their players.

I'm going to suggest a name here, and I'm interested to see what others think of the idea.

I'd be asking James Podsiadly if he wants to continue his AFL career into 2014. Pods looks almost certain to become the 3rd victim of Geelong's 'youth policy', but despite his age, he's still dangerous up forward and I think it would be worthwhile bringing him across for a year.

We know he's old, we know he's just about run his race at AFL level but despite that, he showed this year that he's still capable of being a contributor at the highest level. Kicked over 30 goals for the season (despite missing 2 games and being held goal-less in 5 others) and I think he'd be a wise acquisition for next season.

We have Henderson, Waite, Casboult, Rowe and Kreuzer as tall forward options but there are serious question marks over all of them, for various reasons. Henderson is a star but may spend a fair bit of time down back. Waite is a terrific footballer but he far from durable and is better suited to the role of 2nd tall. Casboult and Rowe have shown they can play but neither are consistent AFL forwards, and as good as Kreuzer is he's not a true key forward.

Looking at that group I think it would be absolutely a smart decision to bring Pods across for a season on the cheap, potentially even as a rookie if he was happy to go down that path.

Would rather Chappy - JPod would not do as well in a side that cannot put it down his throat consistently, and where he may have to work up the ground a bit more. Chappy would go and get his own ball...

Chappy is another interesting one. Would add terrific physicality, skill and leadership, but I'd stray away from him. Huge injury risk and that's the last thing we need.

Podsiadly having to work up the ground is not an issue. In fact I'd say that's a position in which he excels. Has played the high forward role successfully for a number of years.

I'm not totally against the idea, but if we were going to speculate, I'd rather we put the effort into Thorp (although JPod would not need as much effort I'm sure). It is an interesting discussion point though...

As an aside, I don't think we've seen the best of Rowe yet. That chemo would really have knocked him about, and I reckon another preseason will do him wonders.

Regarding Pods, I'd have to ask what our goal in recruiting him would be. It wouldn't be to teach our up and coming forwards, it wouldn't be to help us chase a flag.

It may fill a hole for a year until we find someone else..

IMO Hendo could be a 50-60 goal a year forward if played there permanently. I'd be more inclined to chase a backman to fill his position. I heard Stakers name mentioned and he could be that guy.
