Roli will dictate what we get for noble
If he get pick 6 , then noble is worth 12
That’s not what l think is the right price for them, but the market
The silly season has began
No it won't - how GC and Coll value Noble will dictate the price for Noble - how GC and Richmond value a different player is irrelevant to that.

Honestly I wanna squeeze everything we can out of Gold Coast, this club hands out draft picks to everyone else with no problem. We gave them their captain for a bag of Dave’s half eaten twisties 8 or so years ago when everyone knew he was worth more. F*k them over this time please

The difference being they have other suitors for their draft pick, it was a 1 horse race for Witts.

PS: after a trip to the movies, a bag of Dave's half eaten twisties require a full HazMat team to dispose of, GC taking them saved us a fortune.

Here’s a crazy scenario. Collingwood value Noble at the same or a similar level to Rioli 🤯

McRae is on record as valuing players not picks and that he doesn’t want to lose Noble. GC, like Collingwood last year with Shoota, have come for a player under contract so the value needs to be right to move him.

You could also very easily see it wind up as 6 because we slide and McGuane falls off a cliff ala the Camporeale’s. I genuinely have no idea why we’re boxing the Noble discussion around their current picks.

Who’s to say it won’t be the value they get from Lukosius? What’s preventing us from trading our F1 to Richmond because they’re keen to spread talent? What if it goes to Fremantle to push value into 2025 for a play at Warner?

The problem with the mooted F1 + Noble trade for 12 is we could conceivably wind up paying for the Suns to take Noble off our hands (in a trade sense) all to get our hands on a pick they’ll be forced to move! Let the Rioli trade play out first and set the market for Noble’s type then consider next moves because we’re under no obligation to trade him. At the end of the day that deal is not one we should be making given the state of our list.
It could be anywhere from 4-18, I'd suggest. But where it ends up is irrelevant to a future pick's price - it's price now is based on predictions of where it'll end up - not on what it ends up being. Just as the naysayers on future pick trading from our side will say - don't do it it could end up a top 5 pick, the naysayers from the other camp will say don't do it it could end up 18. But clubs will still trade future picks - and they'll do it based on predictions rather than worst case scenarios - just as they do when they use these picks in the draft. Some times they'll do better than their predictions and sometimes worse - like we did with both Schultz and Ginnivan.

I wouldn't do that trade as by the sound of the draft I'd prefer two picks around 20 rather than one pick 12, but I think some and probably most clubs would prefer the latter.

And I agree with you regarding not boxing the trade with GC picks - I'm expecting them to do something similar to last year and be very busy with a heap of trades that turn 6,12,20 and 26 into a heap of points for next year, Noble, Rioli and enough academy points for this year.

Perryman, Peatling and Tomlinson will do me. Take anything else to the draft

We're gonna have to be careful about giving out F2's out at this point given Tommy next year. We have to deal with two different senarios this off season.
You can trade in futures from 2 years in advance from next year. Don’t think we will have an issue matching if we want Tom

I believe the contract for Perryman will put us out of the race for Houston. I can't see him fitting under the cap with Harry.

Even with Noble and Richards most likely going, I think we'll only be able to bring in modest players now. But I'm pretty happy with the Perryman acquisition!

I have a feeling it's a done deal. I really am expecting tomlinson to be added to the list pre season.
I think it makes sense to replace Eyre and Dean with a better option for now in Tomlinson and a draftee who is more likely for the future.

werent there reports we have a 6mil warchest

THat's not a crazy scenario, but how we value Noble doesn't affect Rioli's price and how we value Rioli doesn't affect Noble's price.
With both players going to the same club and with Rioli’s trade price over inflated to a Bowes + 7 level it impacts Noble’s value. You can’t do the Rioli deal then with a straight face suggest that essentially the same player is worth considerably less in the form of 20 shuffling to at least 27.

If the Rioli deal were speculated to be for 12 I’d agree with you.

If we wanted a Murphy replacement why didn't we have a crack at Josh Battle? Weird

You can if you value them very differently and don't consider them essentially the same player.

If they pay 6 for him, they obviously value him way higher than you or I do.

I would have thought they'd be able to turn 6 and 12 into Rioli, Noble and 2 future firsts - but sounds like both they and Richmond are in love with Rioli.
