I hope they dont drop anybody but Brown and Thomas were down a bit last night.

It is a bit harsh on Brown and Thomas. I think they played their role. It is not always the rack up stats.

As Bucks said our main focus was defense and scoring heavily was not the priority after the good start. We all knew it was going to be a low scoring affair and it was.

So apart from Phillips and Mayne, who else we dropping this week?

We don't drop anyone unless forced by injury. Only exception I'd make is bringing Shaz or Aish in if we need a taller defender instead of Noble. It is a moot point now as we need to replace Greenwood.

Any other talk of dropping players is bu**sh** and said without a proper understanding of what happens in games

If De Goey is out I think we have a couple of options 1. Punt on Reid forward 2. Send Roughead forward bring in Shaz 3. Send Moore forward bring in Shaz. Each has drawbacks and none ideal. It probably depends who we play and if we can afford to shuffle Roughead or Moore. I think it's likely we'll be against a team with two good key forwards so suspect we'll punt on Reid.

I would do anything but move Roughead and Moore forward. Chemistry down back is fundamental and if we make it to the GF we are likely to play one of Geelong, WC (Kennedy Darling) or Richmond (Lynch Riewoldt). No point changing things up and certainly not when Roughead was pretty underwhelming forward and Moore so good down back.

Not against going unchanged forward if De Goey can get up. And not against bringing Reid in. But certainly against playing around with our defence. The other plus is that should things really go wrong you can always shift one of Moore/Roughy forward in-game and Reid/Hoskin/Mayne back.

*lets wait and see on this. My understanding is that he went off in the first with tightness and gave it a crack in the second. On that basis it sounds precautionary because if he’d have done it totally they would have pulled the pin immediately.

Varcoe should be no chance to replace JDG because we need another target I50.

Reid is a better than outside chance. We need more firepower forward. Cant rely on Elliott to win us a premiership off his own boot.

Reckon Callum Brown makes way for Varcoe.

He was completely ineffective.

Callum is on very thin brittle ice.

Besides injured players he’d be the first looked at to potentially make way for a better option.

Will it happen? Unsure.

But he’s my first pick for others if deemed better options.

You can see how important Cox is to this team. We really are missing that tall down the line and bail out option. Checkers is a good foil for others not the number 1. Reid if fit needs to come in along with Shaz and Aish.

A goal kicked, a goal saved.............same same. Cox's tendency to take second half marks in the backline and wing is an underrated weapon of his. Young Darcy did ok though. He might be a player.
