Every week Treloar gets 30 touches and every week I struggle to recall him actually hurting teams with his disposal.

He's like Clayton Oliver, big stats but hardly any scores come from his touches.

Treloar should be in the outside sprinting away from stoppages using his pace. Instead he is being played as an inside mid who is surrounded when he kicks. They are just hacks forward under pressure.

He doesn't even have that explosive pace since his hamstring tears, can't create separation on opponents anymore.

5 players over a 100 SC points and Crisp on 98, almost double the opposition

........and?

Allow me to be a broken record.

This is once again the result of rewarding poor form.

The thing is, we've actually been playing like this all season. The difference was, we had less injuries at the start of the season and enough of our stars to carry us over the line in bursts here and there. But it was ultimately wallpaper over cracks.

Now that the injuries have come, there's not enough of those stars to carry us over while we continue to play like garbage.

It's FAR too late to be bringing in Daicos and Quaynor now and expect a change in results. Those 2 kids aren't going to turn our fortunes around. Daicos and Quaynor should have been brought in months ago when players like Phillips and Thomas should have been dropped to give them the rocket they needed. But let's be honest, Bucks has his rotation of 4 players (soon to be 5) that are the only players that ever get dropped and that's why we're the shit team we are.

We honestly don't deserve to make finals and the AFL should be hoping we don't because it makes a mockery of the competition if we do.

Can I just say thank you to the following players for at least having a crack:

IQ (Fantastic!!)
Aish
Roughy
Brown
Shaz
Roughy having a crack! Laughable. They kicked 6 goals in the last quarter, all from poor defensive efforts and he was standing watching nearly every time

As I said WC almost lost to Hawthorn last week, fair enough we didn't get the response we hoped for but IMO it was better than the Dogs and North Games, we chased hard tonight but we come up short, we didn't chase at all last week.

That is spin, losing a inside 50 count by about 20, shows lack of defensive running by the midfield and zero pressure from the forwards to the mids. Hawthorn smashed us in that last quarter, because for some players it was too hard to put the effort in. Grundy sitting on the turf, whilst a Hawks player was snapping a goal, summed up the effort in the last quarter.

With the current side we have and possible ins and outs, do we end up the rest of the season like 2002 or more like 2014?

Bruce you're a **** wit. After the two banners were brought up, he said something along the lines of there were 60,000 fans at the ground and most enjoyed the game. I'm sure most would agree there were 40k who didn't!

Amazing how we coped with injuries in 2018, but its an excuse when its convenient.

What does personnel have to do with effort & intent, by the way?
Its funny you mention effort and intent. +3 tackles, +20 CP, +15 clearances seems to indicate to me that these blokes had somewhat of a crack.

Now, did anyone sprint off the back of the square at the first bounce and clothesline a Hawks player? No. But thats not what intent is about.

I saw a team that had a crack. But completely broke down when we had the ball.

Are injuries an excuse? No. But lets not act like injuries didn’t effect us last year. Our run home wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns - 2 pt win over Sydney, 9pt struggle over Freo, 30 pt loss to Richmond, 35 pt loss to WCE, unconvincing wins against GC, Carlton and Essendon.

We hit some good form at the right time, but injuries sure as hell effected us in the 2nd half of last year.

Ah well, safe to say teams know how to take away our strengths. It was always a bit of a worry that so much focus was on the supposed soft efforts from last week and not the issues we've had for 2 months now in moving the ball. Feels a bit similar to 2014-15 where we went into the bye rounds with good records and then collapsed.

They didn't address either focus though so....ball movement or the fact we have a bunch of limp wristed types in the 22.
No passion or drive or overt physical response was business as usual.
Like having a bunch of nice guys who have never been in a fight in their life in the team. Bunch of betas.

Did Daicos even touch the ball in the second half?

I wouldn't drop Daicos, because it's a obvious and a nothing omission. This team needs a shake up, so players like Sidebottom, Cox, Thomas, Mihocek, Phillips, WHE all need to feel the heat before Daicos.

Look at the opposition 15th place team who brought no real physicality of their own. The physicallity from us was no better then the last 2 weeks, the difference being the opposition was less physical then both Dogs and especially North.

Hawks aren't world beaters and they also aren't playing a physical brand.

Those stats mean fk all when you watch the game and put them into context.

We were soft again. A more physically aggressive team would of had us looking the same as North did.

22 less I50's is the key stat to take away from tonights effort. A breakdown from both player & coach.
