Thanks for your contribution. How's Jedtember going?

Let's end his footy career next week by playing him, and he gets concussed again!
Not calling for him to play if he isnt right, just hate bagging of players

Ultimately on the club to bring in talent, develop them and get them to play at their best. If they can't make best 22 then play better options, try them different positions etc.

That said, if Todd can't get a look in next week after tonight's efforts, concerns about his history of concussions must be getting dire.

Todd Marshall has more goals and goal assists than Ratugolea, McEntee and Evans combined this season. The ongoing defence of Ratugolea's selection as a forward is laughable.

We had a vintage Hinkley loss with 53 inside 50s for 54 points. We select 4 low ceiling plodders and a cooked Dixon in our forward line and wonder why we can't generate scores.

We're right in that game within a kick half way through the second quarter. We had 35 first half inside 50s. If we actually had something, anything, going forward in that first half, the game plays out totally differently. Instead Geelong become braver and bolder as the game goes on because they realise we can't hurt them the other way. We completely drop our heads for the same reason.

How anyone cannot see that he is a better player than Esava and Dixon put together is beyond me . He just is. Concussions or the fear of, have certainly played a part in the way he now plays. Still, his first qtr against Melbourne was better than what Esava has dished up in the past 4 games. Esava would still be playing VFL at Geelong and Dixon's career is over.

Dixon had one touch to 3QT.

Would Marshall in have won us the game? Of course not. But, in a game where we had more i50s and 2 of our 3 KPFs had zero scoring shots, it’s pretty fair to claim he would have been a substantial improvement to the side.
We were hacking it non-stop to packs, Marshall would have crumbled as well.

That's what happens when 2/3 of your key forwards are bollards. Part of what Marshall brings over Dixon and Ratugolea is movement to create space.

Ratugolea was doing that vs Carlton.

Agree, and a bit against Sydney, but he wasn't against Melbourne, Adelaide or Freo. I think he benefited from some surprise factor in the first couple of games but it well and truly wore off.

If he was going to play it would've been for Dixon and not Sav anyway. Dixon was clearly the worst of those two.

If he was fit to play Hinkley would have played him. When has he not played Marshall when he has been fit?

How many touches did Marshall have when he got subbed out half way through the second quarter against the SUNS?

He had 8 touches and 4 score involvements when he was subbed out just after quarter time against Melbourne, which is more than Ratugolea has had in any of the last 3 full games.

We'd have been better off playing Marshall and having to sub him off at half time.

But we smply dont hit up forwards. Todd should play for Geelong

What about against the SUNS which was the game I was asking about?

The answer is 0 by the way and the reason I asked was to illustrate that Marshall's floor is not higher than the floor of any of the other forwards so let's not pretend it is.

We hit up Georgiades several times, because he leads. It's very difficult to hit up a forward standing still.

Telling that you have to bring up Marshall's floor (by bringing up stats in a game he played just a quarter) to defend Ratugolea and McEntee's ceilings.
