Brown was a mature ager though, a few years older.

I think Harvey as a local and a Port fan with great size was a terrific choice and I'm really happy with how he's going.

We're at the stage where it's time to develop him at AFL level and give him a run.

Would Brown have played many games if he played for us?
He seems to go alright but would he have had the chance to debut so early and get a sustained run at afl if we picked him up?
I don't think so. He would've been dropped before he got comfortable at the level similar to Butcher or not given a chance at all like Harvey and Shaw.

IMO neither of Shaw or Harvey are up to it. Kenny knows this as well. Harvey is a slow plodder and Shaw is a little on the soft side and injury prone.

They are behind butcher in talent and that's saying something

Play Harvey against GWS and he may get Aidan Corr who, while he is a good defender and a high draft pick is smaller and much lighter than Harvey. Even if Harvey can just get 10 disposals and a couple of marks and maybe even kick a goal it would do wonders for his confidence. And if he has very few touches then this would just be put down to experience.

I was going to ask about Mitch Harvey. Slim chance of you chaps playng finals. What up with Mason Shaw? Is he injured? Freo are linked with every tall forward. Freo have only had 2 debuts. Alex Pearce has been getting games with all our tall defenders out and Lachie weller was chosen because fyfe was injured.
