Judging by Geelong's performance in trade week it seems he's probably been working for Collingwood for a while now

Rubbish. Verbal contracts are binding, harder to prove, but still binding. If you don't have a written contract, there isn't a lot you can do.
Broken by Robbo on SEN.
Compensation?
Geelong have said they won't be seeking any compensation.
Classy club
2. I think (or at least hope) that Collingwood will come out and publicly agree to a compensation deal with the Cats. Eddie understands the value of good PR, and right now we need it.
If you had a legal contract you would of been able to seek compensation due to the breach of contract which would of helped with replacement costs it isn't rocket scienceSo tell me how a written contract would have helped Geelong find a replacement for Balme?
what I can't believe is that you waste your time highlighting plan sorry plane sorry plainI want compensation for reading this sort of spelling by a just plan idiot.
Oh, Geelong should get some, too.
Collingwood is everything that is wrong with the world.
Self entitled hypocrisy at it's best.
Eddie you hypocrite.
This sort of post is just dumb. He's a hypocrite how?
Was there a commitment between Balme and Geelong that he would be there next year? Apparently not.
Totally different to the Eade scenario. Collingwood don't owe Geelong anything.
'Regular club employees' have contracts, written or not.Balme just said on Sen that there will be no compensation to Geelong as he is just a regular club employee
He did not have a contract with Geelong , but he will be signing a contract with Collingwood
