Abortion laws fall under state jurisdiction. Not everything is Trump's fault
So, if I'm understanding your logic correctly, your contention is that states would have reverted to draconian abortion laws completely absent of the fact Roe v Wade was overturned?

Might need to step me through that one. Many (including Texas) had trigger laws in place just waiting for it to happen (although I agree it would be ludicrous to assume Trump was aware of that lol).

China tariffs already down to 10% (previously 100%, then 60%).
Thats punishment for allowing drugs to be exported
In a separate post, Mr. Trump also threatened an additional 10 percent tariff on all products from China, saying that the country was shipping illegal drugs to the United States.

“Representatives of China told me that they would institute their maximum penalty, that of death, for any drug dealers caught doing this but, unfortunately, they never followed through,” he said.

Won’t tariffs affect the price of locally produced goods as well?

Like if someone is currently selling something for $30 and tariffs now mean the same imported product costs $40, why wouldn’t the local supplier raise their prices to match? No business ever leaves money on the table if they think they can get away with it.

Trumpers, how will this fix the cost of living issues in America? How does this fix the price of eggs?

Apparently local products definitely won't increase their prices.

So if the old imported product was $20, and the local product was $30, both will now be $40. Sounds great for consumers, they'll be able to buy local!

That's the whole "leapords ate my face" part of this. Tarriffs are paid by the person importing the item.

Trumpers voted for him thinking he was going to "own China and Mexico", now realising they will pay more for everything.

It won't, and they won't care.

How many Trumpers does it take to change a light bulb?
None, Don just tells them he already did it and they'll sit in the dark cheering

A nice bonus for all Americans if Trump goes through with repealing the affordable care Act.

Americans get their health insurance through their employer.

Insurance companies will not cover pre existing conditions.

So, if you are diagnosed with a serious chronic condition while working, congratulations, that employer is now your life long employer, and you better pray they don't go broke or fire you.

Because, if you get diabetes for instance, and then change job, your insurance at your new job will not cover the diabetes, or any health issues that stem from it.

It was the ACA that made insurance portable, and let people keep cover for existing health concerns.

Prior to that, people with chronic health issues got trapped. An issue Australians don't have to think about, and I guess younger Trump voters don't think about either.

If there is any public debate about the ACA before they actually clip it, I wonder if the 'death panels' will make a return? Which grifto-sphere media bot will bring it up? Definitely will be a ton of mis- and dis-information from Fox Opinion.

Shocked I tell you
President-elect Donald J. Trump’s legal team found evidence that a top adviser asked for retainer fees from potential appointees in order to promote them for jobs in the new administration, five people briefed on the matter said on Monday.

Mr. Trump directed his team to carry out the review of the adviser, Boris Epshteyn, who coordinated the legal defenses in Mr. Trump’s criminal cases and is a powerful figure in the transition. Several people whom Mr. Trump trusts had alerted him that Mr. Epshteyn was seeking money from people looking for appointments, three of the people briefed on the matter said.

He learnt from the ultimate grifter
There's going to be a lot of this sort of backstabbing intrigue in Trump's court in the next few months as they jockey for positions.

That's a possible and very likely outcome Randomizor
Another possibility is that tariffs create an artificial advantage to local producers who are , in turn, protected and not encouraged to boost productivity to compete. Neither outcome is a win.................that's without factoring in the inflation effect and any retaliatory measures affected Countries may impose.

Walmart have already come out and said Chayyyyyna won't be paying the tariffs, the customers will, which has lead to a bit of a freak out.

Thats assuming none of the components of that product made in America, are imported.
And that none of the materials, that the components are made from, are imported.
Or that none of the machinery and equipment that is used to make the product are imported.
And that none of the materials used to make the machinery and equipment the product is made with is imported.

Of course, if this American producer sells some of their product overseas, their international competitors aren't paying this tariff, so their costs haven't gone up. So, either he takes a haircut on profit, or accepts being less competitive, and losing markets.

The Australian dollar slid to its lowest level in seven months while billions of dollars were wiped from the ASX after Trump used Truth Social to declare he would sign an executive order on his first day back in office imposing a 25 per cent tariff on Canada and Mexico and a separate 10 per cent tariff on imports from China.

prices , exchange rate , stock market , nothing to worry about if you import goods or rely on stock market for dividends for your super and that is tariffs not related to Australia

I wonder after his deportations who will work the fields and the the slaughter yards etc.
Add on the tariffs
etc and cost are going to explode,
This will effect the company's that rely on exports and labor and also the importers,
Oh well they voted for this alas only 51% actually voted.

And the export of foreign workers will push the prices higher,
Imagine if there paying a person $5.00 an hour and expect Americans to work for the same wage.
