PS my answer was tongue in cheek. I don’t actually know what concrete measures the Dems have done to attract the religious vote.

(Personally I think US politics needs to get the religious element out of politics, but that’s obviously a massive task and a separate issue.)

Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records in the Manhattan case last May. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office worked to prove that Trump falsified business records to conceal a $130,000 payment to former pr0n star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election to quiet her claims of an alleged affair with Trump in 2006.

New York Judge Juan Merchan set Trump's sentencing date in the case earlier this month, ahead of his inauguration as president on Jan. 20. The former and upcoming president had requested the verdict in the case be vacated based on the Supreme Court's presidential immunity decision last year, which was denied by Merchan.

As with most things.

The Dems try to keep religion out of politics, as the founders intended. The Conservatives scream about the founders and then massively-re-interpret what the founders said to suit them putting religion waaayyyy into politics.

The Dems lose out because the Conservatives are willing to be massively hypocritical for personal benefit (nothing more Christian than that, these days).

It's going to be gangbusters for rich people, the likes of which we have never seen. For poor people, probably very bad, more homeless people, more malnutrition, worse health and education. But those things have mostly long-lasting and long-term impacts which aren't immediate.

The interesting thing over the next 2 weeks is, after the inauguration ceremony, it's much harder for people to donate money to Trump. Up until now, they could donate to his election campaign or inauguration fund as overt bribery.

But as soon as he's sworn in, it's much harder. Last time he just announced his next election campaign the day after being elected, so money started rolling in immediately.

So the interesting thing will be who they announce the new campaign is for. OR, they will launch a Trump SuperPAC with no specific nominee with themselves as directors. Imagine saying Hunter Biden is corrupt as a reason to vote for the Trump Corruption Machine.

Honestly, he will just announce a fundraising effort for the mid-terms almost immediately where he will siphon funds as a spotter's fee. He will try to maintain the 'kiss the ring' methodology for primaries for candidates - though GOP leadership will wean themselves off him as quickly as they can to position someone for 2028.
