USA Policy positions of Donald Trump; let's see how many he achieves

IIRC one of Trump's emergency related policies was that there should be much less if any federal money spend in the aftermath. So what is going to happen when the next hurricane roars through the Gulf of America and wipes out portions of MS, AL, LA, and TX? A couple of them are third world areas.
You can guarantee the rep areas will be looked after

No doubt it will only apply to blue states or those who don’t bend the knee

Amazing the Republicans in the house traveled down to Doral to discuss policy,
Trump played golf during the morning as someone posted he would not have the time.
I wonder who paid for the meeting, flights etc to his golf club?
No grafting going on here.

Trump did not provide much more direction Monday.
“Whether it’s one bill, two bills, I don’t care,” Trump said, only signaling to Republicans that he doesn’t want them “to get hung up” on passing his agenda.

Same as last time he was El Presidenté, the taxpayer foots the bill. Notice how previous Presidents all played golf at Camp David, where costs to the taxpayer are significantly less and don't got into the pockets of Orange Mussolini.

Not all of these were golf trips as its a military instillation and hosts other things, but often when Presidents want a hit of golf they head here. This tally is VERY telling...

Considering how often Trump golfs, he is the laziest President after all, only going 15 times is wild.

After complaining on the 2016 campaign trail about how much Obama played, they didn't bat a eyelid at how much he then spent himself playing. In fact, IIRC they said it was because he did a lot of government business on the courses. :rolleyesv1:

This was from 2017, already had made a mockery of himself.

I think it’s a joke it cost a million dollars to play golf. I got no issue with either of them playing golf. People are allowed to have free time and hobbies.

American people paid Trumps business to host this..

as was stated above, its the adjacent costs of the security detail that cost so much. Add up the transportation, lodging (which Trump jacks up for the SS agents), salaries, etal. It gets pricey quickly.

So Trump wants to tariff Taiwanese semiconductors? Really? Shakedown of TSMC or more zone flooding?

Trump calls for tariffs on computer chips, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals from Taiwan

Trump To Tariff Chips Made In Taiwan, Targeting TSMC

I’ve asked the Semiconductor Industry Association, the chip industry’s lobbying group, for comment but I suspect they won’t like it.
Thanks to incentives rather than tariffs, the SIA said this month that the Chips and Science Act is on track to strengthen American manufacturing, create jobs, boost economic growth, and promote national security. The act’s manufacturing incentives have sparked substantial announced investments in the U.S., the group said.
“In fact, companies in the semiconductor ecosystem have announced 90 new projects across 28 U.S. states—totaling hundreds of billions of dollars in private investments—since the Chips and Science Act was introduced. These announced projects will create more than 58,000 jobs in the semiconductor ecosystem and support hundreds of thousands of additional U.S. jobs throughout the U.S. economy.

The impact of such tariffs could be huge. The Consumer Technology Association, the lobbying group for the U.S. electronics industry, warned that tariffs could take the cost of game consoles from the hundreds of dollars to $1,000.

Intresting

Spelling with an 'Murican accent or working with the Trump team?
:tongueoutv1:

Yeah, I wonder what the play is here, if there is one. The chips are a strategic, national security industry and there is a chip making plant now in the USA built by TSMC.

Can't wait for a millennial or younger gamer to become President. No more golf, you'll just see [USA]President on the Counterstrike leaderboards or something.
First Gen Z President recreates White House in Minecraft, proceeds to accidentally say racial slur on stream.

Then they apologise on a simultaneous White House website/youtube/twitch stream with a ukulele apologising without actually apologising.

Brian Glenn, a host with far-right outlet Real America’s Voice, got one of the first questions at the first press briefing held by President Donald Trump’s White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, and used the opportunity to offer flattery and a fawning question.

“Yes, welcome,” Glenn greeted Leavitt when she called on him Tuesday afternoon. “You look great — you’re doing a great job!

I am loving this. The Americans have just sh@t their bed

His supporters have their blinkers on when it comes to anything Dear Leader does, playing golf on Monday they would say he deserved an RDO for working so hard signing all those executive orders last week
Surprised he managed a full first week to be honest, was sure he'd be on the tee by Thursday or Friday.
