Not quite. The funding freeze that has been halted (for now) by a judge wasn’t meant to curtail Medicaid. Could be a coincidence. Could be an indirect (but deliberate) ploy to cut Medicaid payments.

Could be because the people that maintain the Medicaid website have been deemed to all be DEI hires and placed on administrative leave.

Could be Trump’s mate Vladimir directing his operatives to hack the site to cause more disruption and chaos.
Maga governments don't do coincidences. Absolutely no chance that this was a coincidence considering how calculated everything else has been. Especially since Trump is vocal about being anti medicaid.

Might be missed by some and certainly won’t be missed by others is Karoline Leavitt prominently displaying the cross necklace. Reinforce the message on how religion is back.

Kind of like college sports somehow being proud to display Christian faith as if the college athletes stopped doing so.

Worth using google images with Karoline to see how often she is proud to display her Christian faith.

Need to look at californias risk assesment pre fires to see how sensible they were. Doing maintaanence to dams in winter is a wildfire zone sounds sensible……..but watch this space
Having a reservoir empty for fourteen months is not sensible.

Of course it’s easy not to need a binder of facts when you plan to lie and invent answers to every question and when you plan to have only loyalists asking them.
What a downgrade.
What a laughing stock they are.

Her binder's in her head? It'd be about the only thing that is in there.

Shocked
The White House rescinded an order on Wednesday that froze up to trillions of dollars in federal grants and loans and sparked mass confusion across the country.

The initial directive interrupted the Medicaid system that provides health care to millions of low-income Americans and sent schools, hospitals, nonprofits, research companies and law enforcement agencies scrambling to understand if they had lost their financial support from the federal government.

A federal judge in the District of Columbia on Tuesday afternoon temporarily blocked the order in response to a lawsuit filed by Democracy Forward, a liberal organization that argued that the directive violated the First Amendment and a law governing how executive orders are to be rolled out.

Fact or fiction? White House claims US spent $50m on condoms for Gaza

During a briefing this afternoon, the White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt tried to justify Donald Trump’s sweeping order to freeze federal funding by citing what she called important new research from Elon Musk’s “department of government efficiency” (or Doge), a special group that Trump has created, and the office of management and budget.

“Doge and OMB also found that there was about to be 50m taxpayer dollars that went out the door to fund condoms in Gaza,” Leavitt claimed. “That is a preposterous waste of taxpayer money. So that’s what this pause is focused on: being good stewards of tax dollars”.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt briefing the media on Thursday.
While Leavitt did not offer any evidence to support this claim, and was not pressed to by reporters, the idea that the United States government planned to spend $50m to send condoms to Gaza quickly went viral, with an assist from Musk himself.

The Fox pundit Jesse Watters even claimedthat the condoms were being used by Hamas militants as balloons to float explosives into Israel.

A review of the available evidence, however, suggests that the claim is almost certainly not true.

According to a comprehensive reportissued in September by the US Agency for International Development (USAid), not a penny of the $60.8m in contraceptive and condom shipments funded by the US in the past year went to Gaza. In fact, the accounting shows, there were no condoms sent to any part of the Middle East, and just one small shipment, $45,680 in oral and injectable contraceptives, was sent to the region, all of it distributed to the government of Jordan.

For the financial year 2023, the most recent for which data is available, only about $7m worth of condoms were distributed globally by USAid, and the vast majority of family-planning funds, 89%, were spent on programs in Africa.

As Dan Evon of the non-profit News Literacy Project points out: “It’s also worth noting that this is not a Biden program. Trump, too, spent funds on sending contraceptives around the globe. In 2019, about $40m was spent on contraceptives by the Trump administration”.
