One should never impose ones will, upon another.
Not to children and not to adults.
That's exactly what those kneeling were trying to get across.

If its so pointless then why the outrage of doing it? If it has no negative or positive impact that makes it a neutral act and that shouldnt upset anyone.
Yet here we are.
No it's just a bunch of white mostly privately educated millionaires virtue signalling.
I don’t.Remarkable how many sheep get their cues from America
The act of kneeling achieves nothing, if they are so serious about the cause................ donate money to a cause that won't be swallowed by "admin fees" (LOL) or lobby the government agencies to make a change.
Kneeling is a bunch of hot air and achieves nothing
I’m looking at it from the perspective of mass lootings, beatings, lawlessness, selfishness by protesting and putting at risk the collective sacrifice of tens of millions, calling white people ‘subhuman’...We are seeing how many of the no voters can look at this from different perspectives rather than just "LET US JUST SEE FOOTY".

I could go on, but it’s pretty clear to anyone who’s done even a small amount of research into BLM that they are a despicable movement.

I am all for equality and not discriminating, but I don't like politics in sport so no
Take a knee for gender equality, take a knee for sexual orientation equality, take a knee for world povertyHuman rights are not about politics...
Honestly I didnt see it, I tuned in late.
Again: I have no issue with the players or the cause. My issue is with the AFL using it for PR.
Take a knee for gender equality, take a knee for sexual orientation equality, take a knee for world poverty
There are so many issues that they could take a knee for everyone of them and still not be done by end of this season
I just don't agree with them doing it in the game, I mean it literally has no effect on stopping it occurring. If it did I'd say take a knee every week

Are you sure the players have a choice?Again, you are arguing the narrative because it isnt immediately fixing the problem DONT DO IT.
But what is it doing to make the problem worse? Nothing!
So let them do what they please. Holy shit.
“The players want us to understand why they have chosen to do this, tonight’s gesture is one of support, unity and respect driven by the playing group,” the statement read. “We stand in solidarity with our indigenous brothers and sisters for all people of colour. There is no place for racism. The knee is an expression of that support, we see strength in diversity, it makes us better as a football club and as a community. We will be there for each other always, especially at a time when many are impacted by what is going on around the world. We will continue to learn and walk this journey together.”Are you sure the players have a choice?
If they were then that's a good thing. The worst thing people can do is insist on doubling down when we're shown to be wrong about something instead of admitting defeat. I didn't think Goodes deserved to be booed but I feel like I'd have voted no if the kneeling was happening back then in support of Goodes. And I'd have been wrong.Wouldnt mind betting that some of the people voting yes were also needlessly booing Adam Goodes.
Are you sure the players have a choice?
It's hardly a big ask, you're right - but I don't understand why the only way you are shown to hold a particular stance these days is if you show/tell everyone about it in a public way.Why wouldn’t you?
Taking a knee to say racism is shit is literally the bare minimum.
Well fair enough then“The players want us to understand why they have chosen to do this, tonight’s gesture is one of support, unity and respect driven by the playing group,” the statement read. “We stand in solidarity with our indigenous brothers and sisters for all people of colour. What you mean again?Again we come back to this.
YOU ARE ASSUMING THEY WERE FORCED.
You are assuming someone pulled them aside and said "IF you dont kneel, you will suffer X consequences"
And which point I assume you think the player said "Fine, Ill pretend I care about racism and take a knee."
So you think they should have cut the live feed while they did it, that would stop the PR aspect, yeah?
The leader of the Toronto chapter.Try looking at it from a different perspective, because that perspective is a little wonky in the old equality standings.
Also, i hesitate to ask, but who the fu** has been calling white people subhuman?
It's hardly a big ask, you're right - but I don't understand why the only way you are shown to hold a particular stance these days is if you show/tell everyone about it in a public way.
I wouldn't necessarily believe any player was racist for not taking a knee, but they'd almost certainly be portayed as such.
