I meant that the whole protest itself was sanctioned by the AFL and used as a promotion. If the players just knelt on their own accord it would have been different. And actually more powerful. The whole coverage of it just looked like an ad for the AFL.

You seem to be picking the wrong fight. If OP created a third option "Yes, if they allow all protests" then I would have selected that. The AFL can't sanction this protest and use it for adveristing but then shut down another protest because it doesnt suit their agenda.

Yup, and there won't be an accurate representation while this is a publicly visible vote. You'll get people voting the socially acceptable response much more readily than what some really think.

Probably would make more sense, but it does sound like its labeling being against racial discrimination is an unfairly pressured stance from social standards and THATS a concerning stance.

If you feel you need to take a stand against racism because of social pressures then we have an even BIGGER issue. In my opinion.

Players should have the choice. I don't support FORCING people to do it. Some players aren't political and just want to play the game.

Honestly you're lucky to see half the players sing it now. If that. Of all the footy codes you only really see all the players sing it at the rugby union.

Would there? Most of the players don't sing the anthem. There's usually one or two that are really into it but most just mumble along or stand still.
