Nice to watch when they play like that.

We could've easily gone into our shells after being shell shocked by their first 5 min of pressure. In fact the men often do. However not only did they match it, but they went beyond and really rose above it.

A really solid 4 quarter defensive effort where we controlled the game. They got 3 goals, 2 of which were from ridiculous umpiring decisions. So to hold them to 1 legitimate goal is huge.

Lots of great performances and a lot of players finding form and lifting.

Brooksby and Houghton clearly our best, but lots of other contributors.

The defenders should get a lot of credit too, especially O'Dea. They were really great today.

It was a pretty tight game for the most part but we opened them up at the end.

Just like last season we look much more dangerous at home than away. Need to find a way to take some of that form onto the road where we have been largely uncompetitive.

The last quarter certainly shut the commentary team up - especially the bloke.

Excellent second half and the last quarter a standout.

Scholz slowly coming to terms with her height and now starting to use it to advantage.

To be fair, Carlton had the breeze for 2 of the first 3 quarters but we came home strongly with it. And they had the rub of the green from the umpires.

We held the Bulldogs goalless away from home and in our other two games played top 4 teams in quick succession in ordinary conditions.

Matilda is such a big, strong player already. her ruck work reminds me of Peter Carey in the sanfl where she just gets position under the ball and is impossible to move. I love how she stands in position, puts her arm in the air as the umpire bounces it and then just guides it to our on-ballers.
