No. Neither from a team perspective, or if interested in the form of AFL-listed players. None of the young guys has shown anything to suggest that are up to it at this stage of their careers. They all need big preseasons based on this output.

I think that's an overreaction. A whole bunch of our young guys have proven that they can come in and be relied upon to play a role at AFL level. There's a big distance between that and being a key player at SANFL level with lesser quality players surrounding you.

Can we please get rid of Parker and Cripps and find somebody, anybody, that can actually see footballers as footballers instead of continually looking to get guys with a very limited skill base but a few of them try hard.

Then can we have a senior coach whose gameplan isn't so negative that it actually restricts any sort of creativity in any indiviidual.

We play no different than an under 9's team. Crowd the ball and scrubber kick it forward, metre by meter.

Our club kills of naturals and instead they all become player who play but without any real conviction or enjoyment of the game.

No wonder our development of players is so, so bad. Doesn't matter how good you are after a year or two you'll lose all interest as we must inch along the wings and hit up the pockets. See Wingard and Wines as current examples. Both were much better before their natural instincts were replaced with this abhorrent gameplan that Dr Hinkley and Mr Bassett think works.

It only works against sides that have no skill or are physically weaker - namely sides filling the bottom of the ladder.

Ken's horrified of losing and in trying to address that has killed of any resemblance of footballers.

This coverage has been all about Sturt. Quarter time - interview mattner. Half time - cross to the sturt rooms.

Interview Mcmahon somewhere in between.

What is a Port Adelaide.

And every time a free is paid against Port, they cross to some bozo on the boundary line, to say "That was a free all day every day"

Today's game is highlighting the same issues we already know we have:

- Effort at stoppages should never be an issue, but it always is. That's on the players, but is fixable.
- Structure at stoppages and up forward is ratshit. That's on the coaches, but is fixable.
- Skills are ratshit. That's on both coaches and players, and is fixable both by drafting players with better skills and working on them more during pre-seasons.
- Players don't work hard enough to get into the right spots to give the kicker options. That's on the coaches and players, but is fixable.
- As for the lack of basic awareness that our players show, I'm not entirely sure that's fixable. We just have to draft smarter players.
