Port Adelaide's plan to use jumpers similar to Collingwood

Why are similar jumpers such an issue when similarly named teams aren't?
Can anyone follow a conversation involving all of western, greater western and west coast?

There is or was an organization which has as its sole objective reinstating the Footscray name.

Here is an interview with the leader of that organization:
WAFL Football Golden Era: INTERVIEW: My interview with Caveman from the FOOTSCRAY NOT WESTERN BULLDOGS (FNWB) lobby group, by Jack Frost, 4 November 2012 (waflgoldenera.blogspot.com)

So he wouldn’t have signed if he knew the Heritage Round would have continued?
He can only sign what’s put in front of him.

He negotiated the agreement. It’s bad faith if you know the other party will never realise any of their benefits. Basic contract law you need to give something to get something.

The thing is, it's not your actual home jumper.

If Port had insisted on wearing prison bars in the AFL, they would never have been admitted as the second SA team. So they agreed to this and then over the ensuing years have gently reneged, just slowly trying to take a bit more and a bit more until we get a push for it to be a home jumper.

The AFL needs to be clear to Port, prison bars are not your identity in the AFL. You agreed to this. It's time to move on once and for all and embrace the new identity you came into the league with - the Power.

With all due respect it’s not as simple as you’re making it out to be.

If you’re going to bring reneging into the argument then you need to consider how the AFL and Collingwood have also reneged on promises made to PAFC in good faith.

Aren’t you in front of the deal. If it was going to continue they wouldn’t have agreed to it. Is that what everyone is saying ?

If it does continue you get to wear black and white once a year.

Can you explain what those promises are? Seems like a vague statement to make.

Now they’re plagiarising artwork for their jumpers.. which even if it wasn’t looks more crows than port in the bottom half

this club has such an identity crisis

you are not the magpies you are the port power

you are not black and white.. you wear teal

you were established in 1996
and a massive case of inferiority complex to boot.. they just seem so desperate for everyone else to provide them with recognition and respect, and remarkably, all for shit achieved by a different team in a completely different league!..

missing teeth?
This plagiarism will cost port a fortune and you can’t pay your bills now.

I told you the carry on with the pb, you have taken your eyes off the ball and it’s derailing your season and now the Kama bus has backed over you.

Imagine if we beat you on Saturday.

You keep posting this stuff. Telling another club how they should feel about their heritage is a little bit like unrequested parenting advice. Nobody asked you and nobody cares what you think.
Lets not pretend, the only reason you want to wear the jumper is because it's ours, now we appreciate your interest in wanting to wear our colours, but unfortunately the answer is no at this point in time, feel free to ask for our permission to wear the B&W again next season :)

To be fair, dot art is a staple of most Aboriginal paintings. To claim that Port stole the design from one particular artist might not all that accurate.
