This game was a dead rubber when we lost to Brisbane.

I thought at the time the first Freo game was the killer. Win that and there might have been a little belief in the squad. Regardless, avoiding just one of those spineless lost-at-selection defeats puts is in the eight.

Somehow though we still get a pass mark. I guess the AFL and the media are happy for us to be mid-table plodders who occasionally turn on some class football to keep ratings up.
