I always thought Adelaide was backward until I moved to Perth .....This place is the pinnacle of backward.
They've really gone backwards with all this. Replaced QLD with the rednecks stereotype.

Atleast SA is trying to open up.

That was the most disjointed I have seen Richmond play in a while. I get Brisbane pressured them but Richmond have won a couple of flags, so they can cope with pressure. Their little knock ons, kicking it to space where they know team mates will be, general cohesion were all off. Credit to Brisbane for their game - apart from goal kicking - but Richmond after quarter time seemed off the boil.

Different sort of game to our Geelong match. That was trench warfare until our air force arrived in the third quarter ;)

Not sure if anyone or others have drawn some parallel omen similarities that can and have happened in 2004 and 2020 in the first week of the finals.

As of now, it's on course.

Just need Collingwood and Saints to win:

From there:

Geelong to beat Collingwood, Saints to beat Richmond

Could it happen again??

What is the story with social distancing at the GABBA... are they exempt from applying 1.5mtrs distancing in reduced attendance restrictions?

you gotta blame the SA gov for that. If they had any foresight S.A. would have been the hub and you would have a home GF!

We don't have 10,000 resorts to house football teams like Queensland does. If you could fit teams in cafes or repetitive restaurants or closed manufacturing blocks, we would be in business.

Some nice little cottages outside Yatala Resort on Grand Junction Road?

Do you think Charlie Cameron has deliberately tricked all of Queensland into doing a pr0n meme by claiming he's revving a motorbike?

It looked like Martin of the dusty variety had brought his own footy for the for the 1st qtr and half of that game, but for some reason he just disappeared about 7 or 8 minutes before half time and he was never a real factor after that.
I couldn't see if he was tagged out of it, spent too much time on the bench, copped an injury, or a combination of all 3, but his influence definitely waned when the game was on the line and the commentators gave us 3 parts of sfa as to what had happened to change that.

One thing for sure though is any team will struggle to beat brisvegas, particularly up there if their main method of attack is to bang the ball in high to a pack, and we have often been guilty of doing just that.

Any team that plays them must put their defence under pressure with the marking forwards getting separation, and if we do make it to a gf against them and go crazy banging it high to Charlie, he will need to have a huge game or it could just play into their hands.

He moved forward into his All Australia selection position. Just to show how much of a joke that selection was.

I don’t think I can cope with a whole finals series of Bruce and Brian I really don’t.

I mean if we were all at The Blue Oyster Bar Bruce and Brian would be great.

But we’re not.

Dennis Cometti please announce a stunning comeback.

Please.

I don't think Brisbane are a team that's gonna choke somehow unless you can get in their heads in the lead up. We are gonna have to play 110% all game with no lapses to beat this mob on their home deck otherwise their leg speed will destroy us.
Yeah but their goal kicking is an issue at times, and grand final nerves can do funny things to people. Look at the so called invincible Cats in 2008.

So far, both finals match-ups have had the result reversed from the home and away fixture.
Let’s hope we play against StK and Lions, if the trend continues!

This may be an unpopular opinion, we played well enough to win it, but not enough to show me that we are ready to win the GF.

WE still have a lot to improve between now and the next game.

Top of the list is our ball efficiency needs to improve at the same elite level as our pressure and tackling efforts as it keeps us in games.

WE have only shown great ball efficiency once this year and showed that we are not pretenders.

I would think that both Richmond and St’s/ WB’s would ask to have next weeks game scheduled at AO to give them as much experience at the oval before the Prelim
They can request that, but one thing they won't be able to prepare for - the furnace that awaits the winner in the preliminary final. The Cats were intimidated on Thursday night, and it'll be an even scarier place to visit next time.

At least he can't be at both games tomorrow.
That’s the thing, he wasn’t actually at the game tonight and was in Adelaide for it, so it’s entirely likely that he could do both games one after the other unfortunately.
