RICHMOND players Sydney Stack and Callum Coleman-Jones will be banished from Queensland and suspended for 10 matches after being caught in an incident near a Surfers Paradise strip club in the early hours of Friday.

Their indiscretion also cost the Tigers a fine of $100,000.

After an AFL investigation launched just hours after the incident, it was revealed Stack was initially detained by Queensland police before both players were fined and issued notices of public nuisance. The two were involved in a fight about 3.30am Friday near a strip club in Surfers Paradise.
......

The suspensions will begin in round 17, as the Tigers have a bye in round 16.

Richmond was fined $100,000 for the breach - $75,000 for this breach and an additional $25,000, which was suspended from a previous COVID-19 protocols infringement.

Stack, who unluckily was left out of the Richmond premiership team last year when injury curtailed an extraordinary debut season, has not played since round 13 on August 22.

$75k off the 2021 soft cap in 2021 might be a job lost. Harder to hide/cut $100k compared to $25k.

So they had $50k for the wives hub breach and $75k for this one and the suspended bits gone so $125k will definitely be someone's job.

Love the word - banished - from Queensland.

10 games to put it in context was the suspension Barry Hall got before the tribunal panel agreed with the chairman to give him a 25% discount for a guilty plea.

1,050 pts - 25% discount (262.5 pts) = 790 pts rounded up tribunal gave him ie 7 games with 90 pts carry forward.

From when Hawks, Carlton, North and Richmond got hub fines. Not sure why 3 clubs didn't get a $50k fine but only $45k fine.

So Richmond have lost $45k + $75k = $120k off the 2020 soft cap. RTP = Return To Play

Do states have powers to 'banish' people? Is this a power under their Public Health Emergency only?
The AFL are doing the banishing out their hubs set up with the help of Qld government.

Puts a dent of up to seven games into their 2021 seasons.

Makes them hard to trade. Crows to suffer somehow...

I dont get how they got into an Uber. Arent they staying in a hotel full of AFL people? speaks a lot about the culture of a team. Where there is smoke, their is fire.

And you can’t tell me they are the only ones who have ventured out inappropriately in the Queensland hubs.

Imagine being "banished" from the Gold Coast in 2018 for going to a strip joint, being drunk and having a kebab.

Gold Coast would effectively be one big honey trap for banishment.

Wowsers - 10 game bans and sent home is the report. $100k for the club.

That is an expensive lappy...
AFL lucky they are fringe players. The mental gymnastics they would have had to do, to reduce the penalty, if it was a star Vic player is mind boggling.

Yes, none of this will de rail Richmond's flag hopes. If it had been Dusty or Tom, Gill's gymnastics would have been Olympic double standard.

I fking hate those accounts

There is a Chris Mayne one currently demanding richmond be stripped of their recent premierships.

Imagine being the type of person that makes these accounts and posts "content"

Just shitpost on bigfooty Bay 13 if you want to be an unfunny dickhead
