March 2021: Stengle delisted by Crows due to several illicit drug incidents.
November 2021: Stengle signed as DFA by Geelong
September 2022: Stengle kicks 3 goals in a prelim and will play in a Grand Final.

Some clubs just know how to manage druggies.

The key is not to stop but do more.

Did you inform him that we don't have a performance enhancing drug regime?

Ha. It was more to do with the trifling difference of rifling through some bins to find a 23yo on minimum wage, versus paying through the neck for a 27yo whose greatest asset is his fancy surname.

Brisbane will miss the 8 next year.
Agreed.

Top six fixture, most of their prime movers (Rich, Daniher, Cameron, Neale, Lyons, McCarthy, Zorko, McInerney) 28 or older, none of their top line recruits like Rayner, McCluggage, Berry etc coming on like they would hope.

Absolutely flogged by Melbourne twice in the regular season, managed to make finals on the back of playing four teams that missed the eight in GWS (2-0), Gold Coast (2-0), St Kilda (2-0) and Essendon (1-1) twice.

Good thing they have a top recruit about to waltz in through the draft.

If you say Chris Scott lucked out in 2011 with such a great list that he had to manage their work loaad after 4 big years rather than coach them, he has therefore had a decade to build his list rather than inherit a flag and taken 9 years to get to another GF and might win a flag 11 years later.

That would be a record gap between flags at the same club under the expansion era.

If the swans win then Longmire goes a decade between flags and he gets the record. He won a flag in his 2nd year.

If Collingwood win the flag McRae gets the record for biggest improvement - from 17th to 1st.
