I wonder if JHF will take set shots the normal way, or follow the new craze for kicking around a corner...
They benefitted from expan robbing teams that were rebuilding so the next lot didn’t come through as strong, priority picks and father son rules got nerfed in perfect timing for them, and then free agency came in at the perfect time for them.
If you put a cats fan I charge of the league, he couldn’t have planned these things any better to favour the cats if he tried.
The entire cycle got upended and they benefitted.

They'll replace the mid-30s brigade with 26-27 year olds in their prime.
They always struggle without Stewart, he's there most important player structurally. There midfield is looking flat, think Danger would rather be fishing or doing tv, contented i think. Still some quality to return but finally looking a bit vulnerable.
I think that was easier when they were on top and their core was still around
Without Selwood danger and hawkins in the coming years as they go are free agents and players who aren’t from Geelong going to be lining up to join them?
I reckon they get enough geelong expats to help them maybe.
