Neither of these teams can hold the ball in their F50 - they either score or it bounces straight out.

It’s a big point of difference in our game. We starved them both of opportunity to rebound which is what they rely on to score.

I missed the entire first half as we took my son to his favourite restaurant for his 31st b/day, (geez have those years flown by), switched on the teev when we got home during the 3rd qtr to see Max Gawn doing his best Tom Jonas impersonations, with marks bouncing off his chest and various other fairly basic ball handling errors in what was a horror 7 or 8 minute period for him, but to his credit he did (sort of) get his act together later in the qtr.

I noticed that once again Squawkins was carrying on at the ump like the star turn at a teddy bear's picnic at 3/4 time, it's got me stuffed why they don't penalise him.

One warning followed immediately by another if he doesn't stfu, and a 50 metre penalty becoming 100 metres and a shot on goal for the oppo would put the kybosh on that crap.

I don’t know why but Hawkins always gives me the irrits.

Actually highlights the stupidity of the tribunal and the fact accidents get penalized so much, if that wasn't a teammate he goes on a long holiday, but because it is a teammate he is let off.

Accidents happen in footy and we need to cater for them. Especially with this tackle stuff. Still can't believe Jonas and Sicily were suspended. Disgraceful stuff.
Maybe the system should be Cameron Ling deciding whether it's a dog act or not

The commentary chat is sort of "If Geelong make the finals, watch out"
(Same as us last year)

For me the sleeping giant is not Geelong, it's Footscray. Rate them as a top 4 side, despite their last month or so.

Wet weather footy changes the complexion of the type of game that was, but no doubt the Demons have really dropped away. If you stop them running the ball out of defence, they struggle. Really feel like they are a beatable team for us come finals. Collingwood still probably hold the greatest fear for me, especially at the G.

Geelong:
5 goals at 3QT.
6 goals in Q4.

Did the rain stop? Or was it just because I stopped watching it? :drunk:
Melbourne just didn't want it. They came out just thinking it would happen, lost key moments through laziness and Geelong got rolling.
