Bit of perspective for those port supporters that were happy with the loss last week. Collingwood are beatable and should’ve been beaten.

Convert our chances and we would've. They though plucked goals from ridiculous scenarios and took all their chances

Tonight they didn't.

There can be no being happy with last weekend, we lost the game, we exhibited a lack of killer instinct to put them away, and cost ourselves missing those key chances .

Apparently there's been a bet of $1m for a Collingwood win tonight (which is a record for a single bet apparently) @ $1.40.

A cool 400k if they get up.
lol

Carlton Have to be in the premiership conversation for mine going forward

presuming top 4 stays the way it is 50/50 chance they dont leave Victoria in September and have beat the top side without Walsh and Ports just 2 weeks ago

Carlton should be in the conversation, after beating both Top-2 in 3 weeks and during a 6-game winning streak.

If Richmond beats the Dees, they might even have a chance of finishing in the Top-4.

Carlton plays: StK, Dees, GC (a), GWS.
Melbourne plays: Tigers, North, Blues, Hawks, Sydney (a).

Go watch the post match presser.

Ken was really happy, it almost looks like a loss like that keeps getting him contacts.

He was chuffed.

I thought the way the Collingwood team came out into the G laughing and giggling looking rejected, made me think they just think it’s going to happen. They got found out that’s all.

Carlton are a good team.

We have a banged up old ruckman and Dixon is nearly dead, I worry about the next couple of years.

Like many I wish the AFL would spare us the Viccentric wankfest. Yet another Collingwood blockbuster between two teams that have opposed each other more than any other two in VFL/AFL history. Why should a suburban competition like the VFL get a mention at an AFL game?

Yes, I do not think we are as good as Ken thinks we are. We are travelling on the back of 13 wins in a row several of which were narrow wins against middle of the road opposition. Despite sitting second we have only managed to put teams away in three matches this season.

The pluses are that we have found something to win the close ones and we have been able to do it on the road.

I reckon we need to hold onto second spot or there is a good chance we will go out in straight sets.

That does not make it right or the wankfest any easier to take. AFL stands for 'Australian' Football League or at least it should.

It's never going to be that.... I didn't the MCG tour last weekend - it's ingrained in the old guys that walk around and do the tours! the MCG is the centre of the universe and so is Victoria....

I've excepted that, to win a GF over there as an interstate team is monumental.

We just need to get rid of ken to do it.

You are correct in what your saying but unfortunately that’s not how it is.
We joined because like all sporting clubs you want to beat the best at the highest level.

From day one we have always been and always will be outsiders even to the point of being not backed truly by our own state league.

Fact is ,call it want you want but the reality is it’s an extended VFL competition set up to raise revenue at a time where there was a shortfall of cash.
Now money is no object and all we can do as a club is win there premiership.
That’s just the way it is, somethings will never change.

Curnow - 19 Games 34 Free Kicks

Walker - 17 Games 11 Free Kicks

Dixon - 12 Games 8 Free Kicks

Hawkins - 18 Games 9 Free Kicks

Finlayson - 16 Games 12 Free Kicks
Now do how many dropped marks, running under the ball, one hander tries and leading marks.

So on one hand I'm very happy Collingwood lost to Carlton.

On the other hand I'm outraged because now it's mathematically guaranteed for me to win the wooden spoon in the work tipping comp. Rounds 1-9 screwed me over.
