Actually surprised at how boarder line even Port is. -4 is the equivalent of being down only 1 free kick a game.

A bit of a surprise when you watch the games.
We had a good run against Richmond. We're -16 in three games outside of that one.

Richmond were giving away the dumbest free kicks imaginable during that game, really weird stuff. On 2 occasions they gave away a downfield free as we were kicking to space in our forward 50 where their defender would have been able to scoop up the ball unimpeded.

Talk about desperation lol
I dunno, the desperately need an elite mid and it would take something extraordinary to prize one to a so-so team.

The realisation will set in that the best chance you have at snaring one is via the draft. They should be tanking heavily come the second half of the year to ensure they have a top 3 pick.

Crows apparently put a 10 deal in front of Errol
Gulden. He took a 4 year deal with the Swans.

Who is their biggest ever recruit who isn’t South Australian or has no SA ties (ergo the fumes of disgraced Wayne Carey don’t count)?

James Podsiadly? Ronnie Burns? Kyle Cheney?

If they weren’t first to market with a virtual state team they’d be Fremantle.

Yea it's funny because it's of their own making by dreadful drafting.

They won't they'll regather enough to finish in the mid pack nowhere zone.

Despite how gifted Gulden is, I doubt he moves the needle enough for them to make finals. Their list is cooked.

Some clubs create a stink imo I don't know whether it's the current bland/zero feel facilities, uncertain future of the next training and admin base, the revolting colour scheme, the quasi state team vibe, the camp etc. etc. it's like even they know they are lumbered with only appealing to the SA homesick.

If you discount Eddie Betts (I think he was born in Port Lincoln, but raised in WA), Tom Lynch is probably the most recent non-SA connected person I can think of.

Betts has a stack of family in Port Lincoln.

Lynch is easily the most accomplished, but was a young nobody when they took him off St Kilda’s hands for a packet of crisps.

Lol jordan dawson is captain at the crows and they didnt land gulden with a big deal. You wonder if Dawson said ehhh id stick with Sydney.
