The umps did North no favours at all. When the game was in the balance all the 50/50 calls seem to go the Blues way.
That tends to be the way when playing a big Vic side in Melbourne.
As much as we don’t like it it’s almost a certainty every week.
Only way things will change is if the non Vic sides join together and make a stand.
It’s ridiculous how a handful of clubs are treated so privileged in a supposedly national competition.

Let's see if the AFL goes hard on Carlton for letting Harry McKay stay on the field for more than five minutes, and kicking a crucial goal, after being clearly dazed after a head knock. But hey, Geelong had no case to answer for the Jeremy Cameron concussion protocols breach debacle earlier this year so who knows.

We're still only one club to get a mega fine for letting a player stay out there after a head knock btw.

Is BS.

The Magpies dropped a fourth-straight game against Hawthorn to effectively ended the reigning premiers’ season as Collingwood prepares to make some defining decisions on the future of its list.
Having had the oldest team in the competition in Round 19, the Pies currently would have 11 players on their list aged 30 plus in 2025.
That includes champion trio Scott Pendlebury (37), Jeremy Howe (35) and Steele Sidebottom (34), who are all out of contract but reports have indicated are keen to play on, as well as Mason Cox (34), Jamie Elliott (33), Brody Mihocek, Tom Mitchell, Will Hoskin-Elliott, Jack Crisp, (all 32), Dan McStay and Darcy Cameron (both 30).

Unpopular opinion but the trio of Day, Worpel and Newcombe is just about the best midfield trio in the game, just behind Heeney, Warner and Gulden at the moment and currently performing better, more consistently and tougher than our golden trio.

If I could take one midfielder from another club, I reckon it would be Day. He is one helluva player. So strong, tough and skillful. Although seemingly scrawny through the chest and arms, he’s got thick, muscular legs. His power is exceptional.

Pinching D’Ambrosio from Essendon was a fantastic move too.

Their GM is on a heater.

Plus they have the free kick hawthorn tax..

Butters and JHF in that mid .. with the frees for would be unstoppable

Surprising that a team that plays a large amount of its games under a roof should smash the home team in those conditions.

Cleared to play against us five days later apparently. Carlton are, after all, the only VFL side in the top 4. That would be causing some consternation at HQ.

Are we also preparing a please explain to the AFL as to why we are the only Club to cop the fine for doing exactly what each of these teams did?

Lol, Laura Kane when she gets our letter
