The club didnt get the $$, they get to profit from a state owned stadium charging a low rent or low effective rent, just like WA clubs do, SA clubs do, Qld clubs do, GWS does and Tassie will and teams with secondary market home grounds do.
Geelong will get $15m from the feds like over a dozen clubs have received for their new facilities.
You probably know the details better than me but my understanding is all stadium deals are not equal.
