Bit disappointed they didn't use the 'Adelaide Alive' slogan to be honest.

I've always liked these two paragraph from Bruce Abernethy's 'From Port to a Power' book on the issue of the crows naming and colours:

'The naming of the Crows is always a story that makes me smile. Naturally there was a huge debate about what we should call this new team representing the whole state. The glaringly obvious name was the Crows, as South Australians have always been referred to as Croweaters, and the colours red blue and yellow are the state's colours. But the powers-that-be went to great pains that many different combinations were being considered, and that the public were more than welcome to put forward their ideas that would be considered on their merits...the whole process took months.'

'Announcement day arrived and the obligatory press conference was called at Football Park. When it was declared that the nickname was the Crows and the colours would be red, blue and yellow, my first reaction was to laugh. Not because the combination looked bad or the name sounded funny, but because of the melodramatic route the SANFL had taken to come up with the obvious.'

(Ironically at that press conference it was a former Port Adelaide player Simon Tregenza who was the first to wear the new Crows jumper).

Reel Talk on CH7. Don't know when it screens or if it's even still going. Now he's not a Camry Crows player it will be interesting if his show keeps going.
