Hubby? I’m guessing you don’t know much about Kelly. I’d say she was nominated for being one of the only female commentators twenty years ago when she began, while there’s been female sports journalists she was one of the first callers. I think calling the game is much harder than “special comments” and while Brian Taylor continues to call Travis our captain and get half our team’s names wrong I don’t think she’s the worst. She does a good job hosting Offsiders and manages to write, call, present and fill a radio role. Yep, the orange team was a cracker but if you look at her career as a whole she does a lot well.

She's abysmal at commentary at any sport, she's just naturally crap at it and no amount of training or whatever can fix that. The fact she got pulled then they put her back on the crap timeslot when there's no one who wants her to commentate seemed like a poke in the eye by Fox.

She's completely in her element hosting sports shows and opinion stuff as long as it's not game reviews either. Very good getting panel discussions going etc.

One thing I will give Kelli is she is way better calling AFLW. Her tone is just totally different, its relaxed and genuine.

I don’t mind her actual commentary at all, it’s just her voice is not especially pleasant. I'd still take her over BT, Brereton and a few others.
