I wish people would stop comparing the Danger trade to the Beams one. Beams was contracted and Collingwood only let him go because his father was seriously ill. Its not an apples v apples comparison.

Pick 9 is fine. Gore, yeah, OK. But the 28 is not good enough. We needed another pick inside 15 as a bare minimum.

this deal ain't great but certainly not a disaster ...pick 9 gives us some good options in draft that we don't get with 13 or 14 compo

need to turn the 2nd rounder into something and trade lyons and kerridge ...gore will be better than lyons by start of next season, has AFL standard physical capabilities including big frame and running power and can tackle like a beast

Wasn't Beams contracted when he was traded? So even if Dangerfield is worth more being contracted is still the key there for looking for fair value. So a bit unfair to compare to that trade last year

Dangerfield doesn't have massive off field issues.
