If we get done next time around, I'm blaming Kapers for this post and Luke Parker for his sledging.Post of the year....Mods plse note.
Get ready for a week of Parker shrugging the shoulders vision.....Weird quirk of the fixture that the Swans play the Bombers again in six weeks.
Who will be coaching the Bombers by then?Didn't realise the AFL wanted us in finals so badly.
worlds biggest goldfish
It is the idea that we have to be "entertained" at all times. It is "enhancing the match day experience".Might be the wrong thread . Jon Ralph on Twitter was talking about the 16% drop in crowds .
A reply from a Swans attendee of 40 years talked about why we have to have blaring music after every goal , it's so load you can't discuss it with your family and friends . The obsession with Sweet Caroline , why is it needed .Why do we need the ground announcer telling us scores at the breaks , we know the score.
A few Swans jumped on complaining about the same thing .
The experience is watching your club win and being able to watch them play .It is the idea that we have to be "entertained" at all times. It is "enhancing the match day experience".
So on queueing to enter there is music playing loudly from speakers just above the entrance. Add in the Army band 30m away and all you have is noise.

Wouldn't think that would be too much of an issue for Eagles fans this yearThen having to have an early night cause you've come home from the game with a thumping headache.
At least that's my experience. I can't recall ever having a migraine from the footy when it was played at Subiaco Oval. Since Optus Stadium was built, with it's relentless light displays and "Thunderstruck" blaring between every goal, leaving the ground with migraines has become a constant now.
I'll still go, cause I love the footy and especially when the Swans come it's literally one of the highlights of my year, but it's a shame the price of admission is being beaten into a weekend-long migraine.
When I was in the States I really wanted to see a Hockey match. I saw Washington play in the NHL and hated the experience. Between every break there was something going on to entertain the crowd, free pizza, dance songs, T-shirt cannon. I got sick of it and left during the last break.It is the idea that we have to be "entertained" at all times. It is "enhancing the match day experience".

No!Robbo wrote an article about Clarko’s coaching future, which got me thinking.
He says these are the ‘facts”:
Let’s assume these are correct.
- Gold Coast will stick with Dew;
- Clarko’s manager says he’s been contacted by 8 clubs;
- GWS is not one of those 8.
Robbo then surmised that these clubs would not have called, being happy with their current coaches: Melbourne, Brisbane, Carlton, Geelong, Freo, Sydney and Richmond (Group 1).
One can assume, having effectively sacked him, that Hawthorn did not call.
That leaves 8 clubs: Adelaide, Port, West Coast, Collingwood, Essendon, North, St Kilda and Western Bulldogs (Group 2).
Of Group 2, McRae is a first year coach who has done well, hampered by a long injury list. I think therefore it is unlikely Collingwood called. I also think it unlikely that Saints or Bulldogs called. That means at least one of the Group 1 called. I can’t see Melbourne, Richmond, Brisbane, Carlton or Freo calling.
Robbo quotes the next “fact”:
Clarko is not interested in a rebuild and only wants a premiership.
I’d add in:
Against this Clarko seems to be a my way or the highway type, so a handover may not work. Maybe Horse as director of coaching.
- Horse has been senior coach for 12 seasons now and his contract expires at the end of next season;
- Clarko has the wood on Horse;
- We have the best group of young players for a premiership tilt;
- Horse and Clarko are mates;
- A handover has worked for us before;
- Swans do stuff in absolute secrecy.
Did we call?
He's not leaving Melbourne
He won't have to. He could coach us from Melbourne. Have you heard of the internet?He's not leaving Melbourne
No , what's it like ?He won't have to. He could coach us from Melbourne. Have you heard of the internet?

Put a game on before the game. Watching the Reserves play and seeing who is pushing for a game would get more people to the game. Too many lights flashing and too much noise. More footy less fluff.The experience is watching your club win and being able to watch them play .
It's not hard is it ! Too much yank experience crapPut a game on before the game. Watching the Reserves play and seeing who is pushing for a game would get more people to the game. Too many lights flashing and too much noise. More footy less fluff.
That's right. The only music I want to hear is Cheer Cheer at the start and Cheer Cheer at the end when we win.
