Yes, my first game at the MCG. Barry Young ? come from the bench and sprinted across the ground with Lockett as his target. He come in to clean up Tony but at the last second Tony rose his arm to protect himself and both crashed to the ground.

The collision injured Locketts groin and that remained for the rest of the season. Lockett was cited but wasn't suspended but missed Rd22 against WetCokes. The legendary SYYYYYDDDDNNEEEEEEY chant was heard on that wet night for us to be Minor premiers.

More or less said he went through a process because he was asked to, but once in the interview process quickly realised there was no chance of him getting the role, hinting that the process was designed for an internal appointment.
