If Levi gets a chance to play his normal role, he would actually be more dangerous with the mids we have brought in/developing

Unfortunately for him, the likes of McKay, Charlie, MM, will all be selected before him.

I would be staggered if they played him in the backline at any level

Players under the pump in my opinion are :

Cuningham - fit, no more excuses
Garlett - fit, no more excuses
Kennedy - fit, no more excuses
Lang - injured again
Mcreadie - injured again
Pickett - injured again
Fasolo - injured again

Seeing a trend with the last four. Could almost add Marchbank to that list. Injuries shminjuries. Injuries are nobody else's fault.

Bit of pressure, though to a lesser degree on the 2015 boys Weitering and Jack Silvagni.

Forward, back or in the ruck Casboult is just about the last resort in any position. Filled a need during a lean time for the team, so no disrespect but he will play out the year in the NBs unless the Blues are decimated by injuries.

I watched him perform admirably in the backline for the NB's last year. Only the one game admittedly but his role served a function.

Put this forward many times already so it's a little stale, but the NB's backline could use his strength and protection, whereas the NB's forward line would be better served for development purposes without him, allowing Kerr and TDK the space and responsibility of taking up the KP roles.

That's just one way of looking at it and should Casboult be used for this function....I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

Personally I would play him more as a ruckman at NB level, changing with TDK, unless Phillip's is up and about...

But then, what do we do with Lobbe

Yes, he's likely to play out the year with the NB's but you're making that out to be a bad thing.
As long as Casboult doesn't shut shop, he's still capable of being more than useful for a variety of purposes, for another year at least.

It’s not a bad thing that he plays in the NBs, but it would definitely be a bad thing if they were forced to play him in the seniors.

That's the thing, isn't it?
Had have we lost Casboult, he simply doesn't come into the picture.

Given he's still a CFC listed player, how is it best to utilise him without stifling others' progress and development?
We probably moved on Rowe and maybe even one of Kerridge or Graham and Lamb for these reasons.

I'm not sure of how the picture may look but I'd somehow sooner Casboult was elsewhere other than the forward line, allowing Kerr and TDK to take on the principal key forward posts with one of Lobbe or Phillips dropping in every now and then. Clutter the forward line with talls the way we did last year the backline and it all turns to shit for the whole.

NB set up, will be interesting

KPP's - Goddard, BSOS, Kerr

Rucks - Lobbe, Phillips

Forward/Ruck - TDK, Levi

Utility - Macreadie wing?

Injuries at both levels will decide what that setup will look like

On Levi, I was flicking through the training pics the club puts up, like I normally do & I may be wrong but I can’t recall them putting one up off him all summer, they have their favs that always pop up obviously, but I don’t recall him at all. I also don’t recall the club even mentioning him during the off season

I think it has something to do with technque issues. All the players were asked to take selfies but Casbault missed.
