Did Samson Ryan play ? . Style on limited vision I watched resembled our 2017-2020 version , very fluid , very hot . We ultimately binned that plan in favour of more measured avenues in as Oppo would load up and pick us off with intercept . Interesting, great to hear of more midfielders emerging , we need that

I think Trezise will actually be a surprise this season and play most games. He’s a good kick, left footer which is always handy to have in a team.
If you were to draw comparisons to players in are premiership years you’d go
Rance, Astbury, Broad, Grimes.
Balta, Gibcus, Young, Trezise.
Obviously will be hard to get to the level of that back 4. But if they can get close which I think they could. We have something to work with.

I attended and thought that Trezise was very good. Didn’t recognise him at first but had to ask another supporter who he was. Took a couple of nice grabs and his attack on the ball/contest was very good.
McAuliffe was impressive. Beautiful kick.
Dow knocked up getting disposals but his kicking is terrible. He certainly looks like he’s put in a good preseason.
MRJ is fat and has very little impact in a game.
Hopper was very good.
Dusty in the short game time was best.
No KPF played well enough to say they will be a handy player. Kosi was fumbling the ball and dropped a sitter. Poor performance.
Steely Greene didn’t look like he’d played that well but was in the right spot several times to take advantage of bad forward disposals to kick a few goals.

I can't stop laughing at the negative nellys already cracking the sads on Jan 31st. New coach, new gameplan, first real hit out. "yeah hur dur, I gots bored etc etc" FO idiots. I guess you'll have nothing to say once the real stuff fires up. I'm only halfway through. Will watch the second half tonight.

I thought Pickett was quite good. Moved nicely and was involved in a couple of chains. Played wing. Didn’t notice McIntosh much.

Be careful reading too much into a friendly scratch match.

Dow’s gone up a level. You can tell. Far from perfect but he’s clearly better than we’ve seen previously.

Hopper looked fantastic. Fit as a fiddle. Craving to see him get a good run at it this year and show everyone how good he actually is.

Ditto for Graham. Might be in for his best year for the club.

The Tigers open their 2024 campaign against Carlton in the Thursday night of Round 1.

As others have stated, I also have succumbed to boredom and have lost interest.

Tad like that myself to be honest...Totally worn out by the The AFL Old Boys Club rule changes...Statue rule...and Umpire killing us, cos of the secret equalization rule...after the magnificent glory years!
My only interest now lies in seeing how the young guys fit in...and this year's draft picks!

Was a qty debut in final round , looks to have knuckled down put weight on and new haircut , look forward to what he does

Young was very good late in his first season , balta has shown plenty as a forward persist with him , he was ordinary as a back late last year had some bags kicked on him
