I look forward to the training reports each pre-season..great effort is put in by those that write them..

So you are not happy with bad comments nor the good ones...what kind of comment would you like to see about a training report you write ?? Maybe just a "meh".
I will keep that in mind when I read your posts from now on :)

See, this is where reading and applying comprehension come in handy. I never said anything of the sort. I never said they were shit, or negative or badly written. My suggestion was to concentrate on a different segment of the playing group. I would like to see the players who are going to be in the best 22, the main focus. Rather than telling us how awesome Will Young or Brad Symes are going – tell us how Brent Reilly, Michael Doughty, Ben Rutten or Scott Thompson are going.

Reading, it’s a wonderful skill if used correctly.

Really looking forward to the time trials for that group. Seriously, they could turn up in February and still get a game

I for one want The Crouch Report (maybe "On The Crouch"?)

For the Crows to be successful (and I assume we all want that) in 2012, we need to have a big year from as many senior players as we have and that included them having positive and influential preseasons.

I cannot remember reading about any of the senior player last year during the preseason reports. It’s like they have gone to Antarctica and turned into igloos.

So because I want to see some changes and something different, I should stay quite? Is that how it works. :(

I'm looking forward to seeing h goes as well but we need diversity and intergration of all age groups, not just the newbies. Don't forget, he's still 12 months away from being on the senior list.

I certainly wrote a fair bit about senior players (I remember nominating Stevens as my trainer of the preseason and calling him in for a big year - so much for that prediction ), but I can understand if you skip my posts :D

Having been an avid subscriber to the training reports for a few years now, i can assure you that you are the only one that has had anything negative to say about the reports or the reporters.

Keep up the good work guys, living interstate means i cant get to training so i really look forward to the reports every year :thumbsu:

I haven't lived at home for 12 years now and both my parents have been deceased for 6 and 3 years, so getting home sick is a bit hard. But thanks for our concern. :thumbsu:

BTW - why would I write a training report for some douch to tell me how shit I am. Basically, that's the only feedback this board gives - unless you a yes man who says how awesome everyone else is and I see no point in doing that.

My reading and comprehension is fine thanks Alex, thanks for your tips but I will treat them with the contempt you have shown me..

Lets start at the beginning:

You wrote: why would I write a training report if
  • "Someone was going to tell me how shit I am" unless a "yes man tells me I am awesome" - Basically, that's the only feedback this board gives
The above statement tells me that you will not write a training report because the only feedback this board gives is negative, unless its from a Yes Man who tells everyone they are awesome.

If you have a quick look at your post that I responded to (I used that wonderful skill, why dont you try the same), I think you will find that the ramblings above were not included, did you use invisible ink??
Its a little hard to read and comprehend something that is not written

I am not sure whether the supporters that take their own time to provide us with their insights on pre-season training work on requests, but I am sure you would have more luck if you worded you posts with a little less venom.

On a happy note, pre-season starts today and I am eagerly waiting for the first training report of the year, for me, another opinion apart from the Advertiser's is a blessing.

WHERE ARE THE UPDATES!!!!

Never let the truth get in the way of a good sledge. Your paraphrase attempted to quote what I said is not even close or even in the same context.

Paraphrasing to gain and pass on information is one thing, changing the order of the words and the context of the narration and then twisting it around to incriminate someone by using bullshit and innuendo is a very different thing.

I said - unless you are a yes man who acts like a board sycophant (different to being a club sycophant), writing reports is pointless as your point of view isn't taken into consideration. But hay, why read what someone actually post, it's funner to read what you want and then slag someone off.

Thanks for making this user friendly but I still don't see the point as I never had a problem with the reports. I just wanted the subject to be changed.

Don’t get me wrong, the reports are a fantastic tool to relay information from training sessions to the fans who live in different states and to those who cannot get to training but I don’t want to read that the players we picked up in the national draft are flying and ready for round 1, only to end up at their local club in the reserves. It happens every year, can we please change the report paradigms this year.

Thank. :thumbsu:

You did not say the above either ??..this is what you wrote;

why would I write a training report for some douch to tell me how shit I am. Basically, that's the only feedback this board gives - unless you a yes man who says how awesome everyone else is and I see no point in doing that.

You are not going to write a training report because some douche will tell you how shit you are (basically that is the only feedback this board gives) or a yes man will tell you that you are awesome.

Have I paraphrased correctly this time ???

No response to the rest of my last post, you know, reading and comprehending something that was not written ??? Can I treat your silence as an apology :D
