Interesting - he normally does that in Bali or Vegas.According to the Age he is in Doha with Jarrod Wade for a 10 day groin strengthening program.
Yes I laughed too

begs the question why didn't he get himself right before mid November?
But we don't have a shortened off season & early schedule this year...Yep, completely understand an educational perspective. And I’m not really concerned about it.
But considering the strange decisions that the club has made in the last 12-18 months, I’m not sure they get a benefit of the doubt in my eyes that the person in charged of conditioning the entire playing group isn’t at day 1 of pre season. Especially when apparently the shortened off season and early schedule gave us problems last season
This didn’t age wellCurrently in vegas.
But limited? surely he would have been recovered from that hammy by now.
Maybe he needed the rest period before starting this treatment?
Morning tea break! Late lunch break now. Wouldn’t want the BF posting police on my back. You better not be posting during work hours Apex!
Which is perfectly reasonable, of course.or he wanted his down time first
Which is perfectly reasonable, of course.
A good break, then world-class treatment & learning, followed by an on-time return for senior players.
He's entitled to have his break like everyone else. He's still technically on his break whilst attending this clinic working on a program designed specifically for him.I guess we have different priorities. I'd be kicking over every rock to get better rather than heading on holidays and dealing with it when I got back.
You're (we're) just guessing at the realities.I guess we have different priorities. I'd be kicking over every rock to get better rather than heading on holidays and dealing with it when I got back.
Probably one tall, but wouldn't be surprised if we take two.
We need Talls the Most
Of course this facility was just twiddling their thumbs waiting by the phone…begs the question why didn't he get himself right before mid November?
I’d personally argue we need genuine inside clearance mids myself
We probably need multiple things
Yep. We've got about 9 nearing the end - covering pretty much all player types. Any hits in this draft is one less we need to recruit to replace them.We just need good AFL Players
Can think of couple of reasons.begs the question why didn't he get himself right before mid November?
I would have had him to Germany and back by now, with his groin full of ox blood or whatever it is.Can think of couple of reasons.
1) the first plan if attack would have been to just rest, and see how the body reacts.
Obviously it seems like it hasn't done the trick.
2) they would have spent a lot of time getting opinions from various specialists around australia and around the world ( can be time consuming even for a top level sports organisation)
3) they would have spent time deciding which specialists treatment plan they were ultimately going to follow .
4)getting a treatment block scheduled with a world renowned specialist can be tricky, november may well have been the first available slot.
Well there is a volcano problem in bali.....Interesting - he normally does that in Bali or Vegas.
The question again comes down to availability. We have to remember, afl clubs are also competiting against top level soccer clubs for spots at clinics of world renowned specialists.I would have had him to Germany and back by now, with his groin full of ox blood or whatever it is.
