As a Hawks supporter, I'm not the first one to say that tonight's game could be the most defining since the 89 Grand Final.

Win, and the curse ends with the 2 victories bookending the 11 losses outweighing them ten fold. The joke is on the Cats and we're off to the big dance to see Hunters and Collectors play Holy Grail.

Lose, and the era could be remembered as the most unfulfilled in the history of the club, Buddy off to GWS with us feeling like he was Somebody That I Used to Know.

All I can possibly say is MAY THE FORCE BE WITH US ALL.

* FYI: His name is John Walmsley. He was the 2003′s Prime Minister’s Environmentalist of the Year, who in 1990 wore a cat hat to the Tourism Awards in Adelaide. Rioli was the sub that night, as it was his first game back from injuring himself getting Hawthorn over the line against North Melbourne. Hopefully he starts on the ground tonight.

I think Whitecross will be needed to do a defensive forward/tag role on one of Geelong's mosquito fleet. He's also never played well as a sub. I'd say that Hill would likely be the sub.
