I think you'll find a lot more going overseas than you think. VAFA expecting some U/19, Thirds and Clubbies games to be forfeited as players push up into Seniors and Reserves sides.
Believe next year will possibly include a double bye around July to help minimize player exodus.
It will minimise the impact of player exodus, not reduce the player to exodus.

R9 tips below in caps winning teams.

OLD CAREY

MAZENOD (Hampton a few out unfortunately)

OLD IVANHOE (pegs a few out unfortunately)

OLD CAMBERWELL

Ivanhoe got any of their best 22 overseas? Asking for a friend… most teams losing a few..
We are no different to any other club.

Should be a cracker of a game.

Ground in really good nick. 80% - 85% perfect.

BB2 come and say hello at half time in the Ressies to the green man for OI.

Honest Review - Round 9 OI v PEGS
At Chelsworth. Ground at 85% perfect
Wind was very strong going across the ground, but favouring the southern end.
Great toss to win.
PEGS missing a few due to injury and suspension.
OI missing 4 OS, 2 Suspended, 2 injured
OI were left to debut two 17 yo from the school an 18 yo again from the school. Giving us 6 under 19 playing.
The game was hot from the 1st bounce, with the pressure meter at 210. PEGS got the 1st possession and kicked it the wrong way🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
OI took their chances and kicked 4 and a bold kick across the ground failed to hit its target, and PEGS swooped and kicked a valuable goal into the wind.
2nd quarter saw the same level of intensity, with PEGS opportunity being thwarted by inaccurate kicking. OI kicked 2 including the goal of the year by P Naish who kick a 35 metre hook shot into the wind. PEGS only managed 1.
The 3rd quarter saw OI kick away, again with strong pressure. Inaccurate kicking could have seen the margin a little larger, and a goal on the siren saw the lead blow out to 53 points.
With the Camberwell game still in our memory, the 1st minutes were critical. PEGS came flying, but OI stood up to it with the Glove Brothers holding firm.
1 goal to 2 in the last saw the lead reduced to 48 points.
A good day for the club.
Kids got through really well. No injuries for both teams.

PEGS support of afternoon tea and after game is what it’s all about.

Thank good we didn’t play at PEGS.

Umpires were very good in trying conditions. Missed a few for both, especially the goal on 3 quarter time. I think the mark was touched by 4 hands before our player claimed and was paid the mark.

Mate I coached the twos first 3/4 and played seniors..
My brother had his 40th so had to go straight after the game unfortunately.
Very impressive Old Ivanhoe.
Set up very well behind the ball. Riddle is a general.
Pressure was elite around the ball.
Spread well from contest to outside which hurt us.
Pegs have been up for long time. In hindsight this result was coming. We had few keys out but you were clinical.
Congrats Max to your boys.
Your top 5 are extremely strong.

We play OC this week and need to respond.

Which OC

Well done to Carey yesterday too good and used the horrific conditions much better , i believe after yesterday they will have up to 40 players missing through the club , but have school holidays to help fill numbers.
Ormond getting a chance to blood some players , but really lacking height and 2 more big injuries , thank you to Camberwell.

You’re Dads a legend.

Saw a little of Marc v Camberwell at the bottom oval of GBR. Left just before 3/4 time, and yes there was a wind but cannot believe Marcellin lost. Had the game totally in control. Must have been a super rev up by the Camberwell coach.
The three year CV19 travel wait is certainly going to throw up some interesting games over the next month. Carey will lose 42 players accross their 3 teams I’ve heard. That’s madness. Will they be able to field a Ressies? Or an Unders?
Probably good for them they have the bye and then the two top teams. Take the losses and then hope to win enough games in the last 5 or so to sneak into 4th.
Ormond or Marcellin to drop. Geez Marcellin threw one away. The game between these two teams will be huge.
Ivanhoe are now $3.80 with PEGS rolled out to $4.10
Ormond and Marcellin both $2.07 for the drop.
