Dear Rissoles,
What an incredible Dick you are. Pull your head in, I notice on the Premier C forum you are having a crack at two posters there.
IF you had been at the game v Old Trinity you would have witnessed the Old Trinity runners disgraceful language for the entire game directed at our coaching staff, Old Trinity supporters threatening St Kevin' supporters, Old Trinity's team manager a abusing a hard working, nice St Kevin's committee member who enquired if the welfare if an OT player, their players king hitting several St Kevin's players.
If you bothered to read the last pages of this forum any reasonable person would label their actions a witch hunt.
You do not know the facts, so take your diatribe back to the forums you inhabit and continue your bullying of other posters there.

SPANKER

You announced at the start of the season that you would not denigrate posters etc - you said you would be positive. Hasn't taken long to do the reverse & show your true colors. Leopards never .......

Game tonight influenced by wide open spaces ,lights and the WIND. Very different game styles. SKOB very big bodies but lacked pace particularly down back. OM seemed more committed [ biased viewpoint}. Certainly OMs faster and more players around the ball and SKOB look a lot to No.6. However came away with little idea which team has greater chance of progressing to A grade. OMs lack big bodies and SKOBs lack pace. A lot will depend on conditions. Overall very good game to watch but a bit cold and windy and prefer Saturday afternoons for footy. Enjoyed watching plugger doing his stuff.

Up To Premier A 2014
Old Brighton
& 1 of Old Melbourne / Old Trinity

Down To Premier C 2014
Werribee
& 1 of Old Haileybury / Caulfield / Fitzroy / Parkdale

At the half-way mark, and following on from the Tonners home win, just bring up my earlier post from April 12th:

As predicted 1/2/3 (Old Brighton 7/2, 2nd on percentage).
Ajax and St Kevins next.
Werribee on the bottom - with the other four clubs I mentioned filling 6th to 9th positions.

Super game of football played at breakneck speed on a magnificent surface at TH King. Best Ajax team I have seen since I began playing against them over a decade ago. SKOB losing players at an alarming rate due to injury, but they keep finding replacements able to step in seamlessly to play their role, Pana, Aughton, McMaster & Kirwan stepping up yesterday. As other teams slow down/stop, SKOB just keep coming at the same speed, no out & out jets, but a team developing massive tanks & a belief to match. Ajax magnificent in defeat, SKOB had to produce something special to beat them.

I think we are seeing a very even competition from 6th place and up, with all great chances to play off in the grand final. Doesn't seem to be a stand out side at the half way mark. I didnt see the Trinity vs Old Brighton game, but it was always going to be tough for Trinity to knock off a fired up OB team celebrating a club hero, and in the windy muddy tight conditions down at the beach.
I think Trinity still favourites, they cant win them all, just ahead of OB as finals are on a bigger oval.
Although can any team match the scoring power of OB, maybe AJAX? St Kevins probably can if they played the 4th quarter in the 1st,2nd & 3rd. Your a brave man to pick the grand final from here.

Watched OM v Ajax on a perfect day for football. Ajax would be concerned about depth as well beaten in Ressies. Firsts was a terrific game to watch .Fast and even 1st half and Ajax probably should have been ahead. OMs dominated most of 3rd quarter but wasted opportunities. Ajax terrific in final quarter but lead just too much. OMs nearly threw it away with terrible kicking for goal with set shots in the 2nd half. Ajax really struggled with kick into the front half continually turning it over. Poyas is a very good player and good to watch how the better players keep getting themselves in the right position. Good forwards from both sides were well held.

An incredible performance by SKOB to get so close, 10 of our starting line up out, flukey wind changes all day.

Signed: Briza:D

A average performance by SKOB & got so close, only 7 starters out, perfect conditions for football all day. Well done to OH, put on a real show at their school with 4 games of football at a great facility on their foundation day. OH were leading by over 6 goals half way through the 3rd & SKOB rallied AGAIN to hit the lead with 2 min to go in the last. SKOB had a kick 40m from goal on the boundary but a SKOB player gave away a free kick in the goal square before the kick was taken, OH went forward, scored, defended for 2 min, game over, well done OH. Too many SKOB players minds wander at critical times allowing opposition easy possession. Once this gets sorted, SKOB will be OK. One massive concern for OH is their depth, or lack of it, Ressies & B Thirds beaten by a combined 300+ points.

For what it's worth who cares about depth if your seniors can't win????
Top 4 locked and loaded in my opinion. Only interest is who goes down.

Could not agree more with your first point. However, if Ridgeway and or Meehan get hurt, OH are done as they have nothing to replace them with.

Two big games this week.

Trinity v Ajax
Brighton v SKOBS

Are the underdogs any chance here?

I'll go for Trinity & SKOBS

got out to my first ever VAFA game today ... Went to see Fitzroy v Caulfield, was telling my young bloke about Fitzroy and what happened to them, then thought might as well take him to see them :)

Pretty good game, Fitzroy had a lot more of the ball, but inaccurate kicking kept them from getting a bigger lead, couple of absolute howler of goal umpiring decisions against Fitzroy too, so glad they got up for the win

Terrific to hear that you took your young bloke along to an Amateur Game Saints Mat.
And to pass on to the next generations about Fitzroy and their VFL history is equally important to ensure our footy heritage and the stories behind why changes happened to them.
Make sure you take your young fella to more Ammo games especially a Premier Section clash as it is quality football..and you can kick the Sherrin with him at half time!!
