Well done to Woger for being the sole tipping survivor..
Who wins this week?
Can Ivanhoe reverse the results of the last 2 meetings (the last being a pantsing) and get the chocolates against the red hot Ajax?

Can Ormond pull off a miracle and beat the untouchable Willy? Do Ormond have any tricks to pull out of the kitbag?

For mine, im going with Willy (of course) and in a major upset Ivanhoe over an over-confident Jackas.

And for those that follow the Magoos, i think the winner on Sat of 1 v 2 will take the flag as well

Cheers all

Solid hitout at Sandy today between 1v2. Huge credit to Ormond who came to play and at stages throughout the game exposed Willy’s midfielders and defenders by using the middle of the ground with precision. Willy’s experience and size prevailed in the end and head to the big dance.

Very interested to see what happens tomorrow. Ajax young and quick against Old Ivanhoe who are experienced and tough, should be a good battle to see who plays Ormond next week.

Good luck to all teams.

Good game in windy conditions, Ormond had a real crack and looked a chance at times . Willy too big . If those young chaps umpiring are from a higher grade the VAFA have problems .

Ivanhoe far and away the better team today. Ajax banked on their counter attack all day and it worked in the end. OI killed them in inside 50s. Mitris was outstanding. Fair game though, looked horrible out there.

Proud but very disappointed. Coulda shoulda but didn't.

A few costly misses and a few costly errors.

AJAX kicked a goal in the 1st 30 seconds on the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarter.

9 players 20 years or younger gives the Hoes a great foundation for 2020.

No retirements also gives greater depth.

Now to the Ressies next week.

Highlight of the week occurred yesterday when the Ormond boys ran out for the Seniors, the Hoe Ressies cued up and gave the Ormond boys great encouragements and high fives. Footy doesn't always have to be so serious.

Maybe the dislike of another club helps

Hampton Rovers has finished the year on a high after their Under 19 side defeated Old McKinnon/Glen Eira by 53 points. After being 3 points down at halftime in a seesawing game, the Rovers kicked 10 goals to 2 in the second half and win by almost 10 goals.

Great day out for Ajax. Pressure was too much for a fumbly Ormond side. 9 in a row, Prem B bound and and even 10 for a flag! Unreal turn around.

So the grand final matchup has a team looking for its 20th straight win (Williamstown CYMS), versus a club going for its 10 successive victory.

If the weather is good like today next Saturday, it will be one hell of a game of football to go to.

For AJAX to have any chance of pulling of an almighty upset, they need to stay with Williamstown for the duration of the game (ie be 2-3 goals behind at the end of each break).

They gave us an absolute flogging. Just too strong. Well done.

Yet, there is no mention or review of the Under 19 Division 2 Grand Final on the VAFA website. Memo to the VAFA: Under 19 Grand Finals are important as the Division 1-4 or the Premier-Premier C Grand Finals, and should be given some coverage.

Compared to other leagues, the VAFA is absolutely hopeless with their media coverage and socials/game reviews/previews.

The scuttlebutt around the traps is that other clubs will overwhelmingly be in your corner at the big dance. Not a lot of love for Willy.

I don’t mind Willy. Big respect for what they’ve achieved in recent years. Great program down there. Unders have some great kids coming through. Very good club and people.
But...would love to see Jackers win. Belter of a coach, who is also a ripping bloke. Deserves a flag after coming so close at Hedgeburner land in recent years. Would be on the podium for best Ammos coach currently coaching. Not bad for a C Grade club to have him.

Have you seen them play this year ?
