WTF.

C Grade Grand Final on Friday before the AFL Grand Final at Elsternwick Park.

Gives the winner of the Preliminary Final only 6 day break.

After 24 Rounds of Football, players will need every day they can get to recover.

IMO what utter BS.

Make it on the Sunday after the AFL Grand Final.
Can't believe that the Premier C Grand Final is the last game on the VAFA calendar. And at Elsternwick Park on a Friday night? Who gave it the OK to have it on the eve of the AFL Grand Final?

BTW, is the finals series going to be the traditional final 4 (first semi, 2nd semi, preliminary final, grand final) played over 4 successive Saturdays, or is it a final 5, with the elimination & qualifying finals on the first week, 1st semi & second semi in week 2, preliminary final in week 3 & grand final in week 4?

And I just realised there are 22 rounds in the season, not 20.
Surprised by the fact that Premier C, not the Premier or A Section (in old terminology) has been given the last playing day on the VAFA calendar? Would've thought that the VAFA has a pre-finals bye like in the AFL so that Premier C, Premier B and Premier all finish on the same weekend, as has been the case in previous years (not counting 2020 and 2021).

Surprised (or maybe not) that so many people in this forum whinge about most things. Maybe we can start with the constant threads on umpires. Perhaps they are "C Grade"... just like the players 🤷‍♂️

Getting closer to the end of this marathon season.
Monash to be too strong at the best ground in the comp
Parky to win in a big upset
Monders in a close one. Bedford take your pacemaker
OGs in another thriller
Nods by the length of the straight

Big round of footy coming up this week, not sure which game I’ll attend this round. Heard some good things about a few sides, anyone got some suggestions on who to watch?

Doesn't help when Sandy take your only remaining ruck ! hate those pricks

The boys from Monash are way better than any team in Prem C.

We tried hard all day, but the spread and polish of the light blues was very evident.

Only lost the 2nd half by 11 points. Maybe due to some erratic kicking.

The ground was magnificent. Quite windy. Well umpired.

Great to see a 47 yo dominate the ruck in the 2’s. Great win by the magoos. Will meet each other in 3 weeks.

Can’t see any reason why OI should not be considering themselves a massive chance to make GF. Seriously hard and skilful side. Managed to get it on the outside and through Monash pretty regularly. A little perplexed by their spare man in D in third Q, left them with way too much to do at half forward. No. 23 has some seriously good hands.

Still need a little luck to make it.

Need OGS to knock of Mazenod next week and for us to beat Mentone.
