Another interesting point is that, while Hurn was rated a good prospect and the Eagles traded to get high enough in the draft to grab him, no-one was interested in Priddis until the Eagles put him on the rookie list . Wasn't he about 21 or something before we picked him up ?
Good on ya "Sideshow" ! Give the knockers some stick !Yep Priddis trained with both Kangaroos and Adelaide and was told he wasnt good enough by both Craig and Laidley. Laidley had a few stern words to say to him and after he got promoted onto the senior list he gave him a call to tell him he was wrong.
At the start of the year I highly doubted that Priddis could actually perform in the same side as Kerr and Judd, but they have improved with him in the side doing a fair bit of the work in the packs.
How the hell will Butler get back in the side with both Hurn and Priddis doing well.
Cousins Nicoski Fletcher may also run into some trouble too. Mitch Morton too cos he deserves to be in the starting side. No idea what Woosh does here. It really is our biggest concern atm

I REKON!
woodhouse for PM! Gerts things done and rarely makes mistakes.
Such "deadweight" that Collingwood alledgedly wanted him (and pick 16) in exchange for Tarrant at the start of this season ! Give him a bit of a go , he's only played 20 something matches and I think that his play is improving all the time !Our recruiting and drafting rulz.
Rosa is deadweight to me, though. Doesn't get the ball as much as Priddis, isn't as damaging as Butler.
Yep, I have to say I'm loving have this sort of problem. Priddis, Hurn and Rosa are performing really well but the only problem I can forsee is:
If they get dropped for Fletch, Nicko, Cuz etc and don't get much game time, are they going to want to leave?? I'd be sad to see any one of them go to another club after showing so much potential.
I think the comparison of birchall isn't a very good one, Hurn is a much more inside player getting the hardball etc. A much better comparison for Birchall is probably Rosa. Very similar stats too:I remember before the 2005 draft there was a lot of talk about Grant Birchall not going past 13 because we had him ranked very highly and we doubted any played we ranked higher would've been available. As it turns out Hurn was there.
At this point it's hard to call which play has done better but Birchall has been given far more of a shot at the Hawks then Hurn has with us. Also Birchall is more of a reciever than Hurn is.

As for Priddis, I think Fremantle made mistakes by not taking him and Armstrong before us. I know they're not the types Fremantle needs right now but they will soon enough.
